How You Will Make an Impact:
The Field Service Technician provides professional service and support for customers by overseeing field service installation, startup, repairs, and maintenance for generators. Must be willing to work in all outdoor climates, be on call, and travel to various customers within their designated region.
Responsibilities:
Maintain working knowledge of power generation systems and its components, including knowledge of the mechanical operation, associated hazards, and proper usage of the equipment to troubleshoot and accurately diagnose malfunctions.
Troubleshoot, perform diagnostic testing, load-bank testing, start-ups on generators, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on generator systems.
Ability to interpret schematics and operational manuals for practical application on repair and maintenance tasks.
Prepare accurate quotes for repairs and complete/submit work orders.
Coordinate service dates with lease operators of customer site
Maintain reliability and working order of unit fleet.
Required to be part of an on-call rotation to meet scheduling needs of the department.
Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job.
Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings.
Use the correct tools and use them safely.
Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
Abide by all policies and procedures.
Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications
Ability to work outdoors in the elements.
An aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repair.

We are currently looking for an Associate FieldTechnician/ FieldTechnician/ Sr. FieldTechnician for our Haughton, LA office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This purpose of this position is to carry out daily operations & maintenance tasks associated with pipeline, compressor station compliance and maintenance of Texas Gas at the Haughton, LA location as well as Sharon, LA as necessary. This position will be responsible for environmental, health & safety and reliability for natural gas transmission through the pipeline system. Some specific duties will consist of compressor maintenance, reading rectifiers, valve inspection and maintenance, tank gauging, pipeline locating, pipeline patrolling, one-calls, preventive pipeline maintenance, valve site and right of way maintenance. Technician will be assisting with construction and repairs of pipelines and associated facilities if needed. Successful candidate will be required to maintain residence within 30 miles of the Texas Gas Haughton, LA compressor station.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

TEAM UP WITH US! The Electrical Power Generation FieldTechnician (EPG Field Tech) II is responsible for providing high quality repair service on equipment, in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot problems while providing recommendations for those repairs and make all critical machine and engine repairs and adjustments while providing required information to service dispatcher.
* Follow all documented CSA processes and guidelines.
* Follow Caterpillar guidelines when performing engine overhead measurements and adjustments within six weeks of hire date.
* Generate service reports, required oil samples, and inspections will be completed as service work is performed on the job site and a copy of the paperwork is to be left with the customer.
* Generate service reports, required oil samples, and inspections will be completed and submitted to dispatchers within 24 - 48 hours of completing the service job.
* Follow company and customer safety and contamination procedures including MSHA guidelines when in mining applications.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or three to five years related experience and/or training;
* Preferably AA in Applied Diesel Technology.
* Clean driving record and require CDL license within 90days.
* Successfully complete Work steps assessment.
* Will be certified prior to operating a forklift and/or man lift.
* Complete certification of arc flash training.
* Must complete all EPG Level I training and/or demonstrated performance.
* Normally we would expect an employee to be at this level for 24 - 48 months.
* Need to work required overtime.
* May be required to pass DOT physical.
* H2s, MSHA and lock-out /tag-out certified as required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
* Complete assigned jobs and task to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
* Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
* Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
* Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
* Provide accurate information to management for quoting
* Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical machine and engine repairs and adjustments.
* Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
* Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis.
* Mentor Machine team members.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* General knowledge of engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems and components.
* General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
* Ability to provide accurate information to management for quoting.
* Must be able to obtain or currently posses' adequate tooling to perform duties Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and write routine reports and correspondence.
* Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Manufacturing software and Order processing systems.
* Must be at least 21 years old to complete required assessments.
* Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
