About the Role
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, staging, and distribution of office furniture and equipment. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage specialty shipments in a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Manager coordinates daily workflows, maintains inventory accuracy, and ensures all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role also partners closely with the project management team to support job readiness and successful project execution.
Core Responsibilities
Receiving & Delivery Coordination
Confirm inbound delivery schedules via email and phone.
Receive, unload, and inspect shipments for accuracy and damage.
Complete, upload, and distribute all receiving documentation accurately and timely.
Resolve discrepancies and communicate issues as needed.
Inventory & Order Management
Reconcile inventory by project and ensure accurate tracking.
Maintain accurate inventory records and organization.
Facilitate warehouse organization, labeling, inventory control, as well as accurate and timely order preparation.
Order Preparation & Loading
Review upcoming projects and delivery schedules.
Pull and stage materials in advance of project dates.
Load trucks efficiently based on routes and availability.
Maximize fleet efficiency by consolidating loads and ensuring vehicles are fully utilized before traveling in accordance with T&M standards.
Warehouse Organization & Safety
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are properly stored.
Enforce safety procedures and best practices at all times.
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
Oversee and coordinate fleet upkeep, including refueling, DEF fluid checks, scheduling preventative maintenance, and coordinating service appointments.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe operation of all warehouse equipment.
Order supplies and other needed materials for the warehouse and fleet vehicles.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably handling office furniture or specialty shipments.
Forklift certification and hands-on forklift operation experience required.
Prior experience leading or supervising a small team is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Physically able to lift heavy items and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn warehouse systems.

This position requires approximately 75% travel to support other markets.
Assemble and install commercial furniture, including desks, chairs, cabinets, panels and components
Load and unload furniture on trucks with a high degree of caution, using protective blankets and padding as needed and securing items for transport to avoid damage and optimize space
Install window coverings, artwork, and specialty item
Load boxes and filing cabinets onto moving pallets
Ensure all furniture is assembled and installed according to company standards and client specifications
Perform quality checks to ensure all assembled furniture is free of defects and securely installed
Proactively communicate with Lead Installer, Market Manager, and team members to ensure smooth project execution, reporting status and/or issues
Handle office preparation for installation projects
Ensure the workspace is free from trash and construction material at project end
Disassemble office furniture and load pieces onto pallets and then trucks
Unload items from truck and transport items to new location
Use hand tools as needed to disassemble and reassemble furniture and miscellaneous items
Communicate with clients in a professional and respectful manner

About us
T&M Services was established in 1987 as the first professional, independent installation company in Iowa. Since then, we have maintained the family-owned culture, providing the efficiency of a large corporation with the responsiveness of a small company. We specialize in furniture installation, furniture reconfiguration, office relocation, warehousing, and receiving and delivery in Iowa and Nebraska. Core Responsibilities
Assemble and install commercial furniture, including desks, chairs, cabinets, panels and components
Load and unload furniture on trucks with a high degree of caution, using protective blankets and padding as needed and securing items for transport to avoid damage and optimize space
Install window coverings, artwork, and specialty item
Load boxes and filing cabinets onto moving pallets
Ensure all furniture is assembled and installed according to company standards and client specifications
Perform quality checks to ensure all assembled furniture is free of defects and securely installed
Proactively communicate with Lead Installer, Market Manager, and team members to ensure smooth project execution, reporting status and/or issues
Handle office preparation for installation projects
Ensure the workspace is free from trash and construction material at project end
Disassemble office furniture and load pieces onto pallets and then trucks
Unload items from truck and transport items to new location
Use hand tools as needed to disassemble and reassemble furniture and miscellaneous items
Communicate with clients in a professional and respectful manner
May drive box truck as required

What you bring
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
A positive attitude and a customer-centric focus
Commitment to collaboration and teamwork, with a passion for excellence
The ability to be flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support other markets as needed.
A strong attention to detail, paired with a high level of professionalism, ensuring final results and interactions surrounding the customer exceed their expectations.
Prior experience in furniture assembly and installation preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects, up to 50lbs.on a regular and consistent basis
Ability to work extensively on ones knees working under desktops; ability to regularly work bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and pulling
