External Description:
The Lead Portfolio Investment Analyst (PIA) resides within the Investment and Trading Solutions group. The PIA works directly alongside portfolio managers and traders to assist with the day-to-day portfolio modeling and management of accounts and orders. The primary purpose of the role is to use their knowledge of the portfolio investment strategy and client requirements to oversee each account's investment activities. This includes account customization, interpreting account guidelines, resolves compliance issues and oversees performance composites. The incumbent will liaise and partner with client-facing staff to pro-actively represent portfolio strategy, model account implementation and investment related issues, as well as increase visibility of the department within the firm. Having mastered the daily workflow of a single asset class, the Lead PIA will leverage their expertise and assume additional multi-asset responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Independently assumes coverage for strategies, escalating issues as necessary with pre-established thought process for resolution. Guides more junior team members on more complex modeling issues. Proactively assumes responsibility for projects that increase efficiency and promote best practice within the team, reducing risk. Serves as a subject matter expert on modeling when working with various functions and groups within the firm including investments, client service, and operations. May be involved in client presentations and/or due diligence meetings as necessary
Engage in advanced project work to further the team's research, development, and collaboration efforts
Establishes and maintains understanding of Portfolio Manager's investment process
Works with traders to determine process for implementation of new accounts and consults with traders on behalf of Portfolio Managers to resolve trading issues
Communicates with other PIA's on the Baltimore, London and Hong Kong trading desks regarding trades, accounts and best practices
Works with Compliance and Legal to clarify and resolve investment strategy issues and determine best method for tracking compliance with those requirements
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Math or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
3+ years T. Rowe Price or related experience
Prior experience with Equity OR Fixed Income Portfolios
Savvy use of technology in combination with a data driven mindset
Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems
Ability to quickly process information, draw relevant conclusions, and clearly summarize results.
Ability to determine priorities, plan, organize and follow-through on assignments
Effective written and verbal communication and organizational skills
Project management experience

Role Summary
The Equity Investment Liaison position supports global investment operations for Equity strategies by working closely with investment teams and other stakeholders to ensure operational readiness for investors, clients, and TRP products. Leverages strategy and operational expertise to represent our Investment Teams while working with other areas of the firm including, Sales, Distribution, Operations and Client Services. Supports Investment teams through all stages of the account life cycle from prospecting, onboarding, and ongoing client and product support.
Responsibilities
* Serve as a key representative of the Investment teams throughout all stages of the client account lifecycle-including new account onboarding, account updates, marketing support, and client due diligence- to help drive successful outcomes.
* Support ongoing operational activities related to portfolio management across multiple investment strategies within Global Investment Operations. Activities include researching and analyzing investment and performance data, generating customized investment, risk, and performance reports, providing operational support for model portfolios, coordinating responses to corporate action events, resolving pre-trade compliance matters, maintaining strategy-level data, benchmarks, and performance composites, processing discretionary trade orders, and independently resolving investment-related operational issues.
* Exercise sound judgment and some autonomy to ensure operational readiness and support for investment management activities spanning various products, separate accounts, and investment types. Typical responsibilities include reviewing prospectus language, analyzing investment guidelines for implementation, facilitating the opening of foreign market trading accounts, and establishing standing instructions with internal and external stakeholders.
* Contribute to the development and review of materials for client meetings, marketing efforts, client reporting, and internal investment committee meetings. Collaborate with investment staff and senior team members to maintain content that communicates investment insights and strategies.
* Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by developing use cases, creating testing plans, and participating in unit testing activities as directed, with the goal of ensuring successful and efficient outcomes for Global Investment Operations initiatives.
* Collaborate with portfolio managers across multiple investment strategies and sectors to understand, enhance, and align operational processes and client engagement workflows, fostering a culture of learning and teamwork.
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive procedural documentation for assigned strategies, participate in cross-training opportunities, and provide operational coverage for a defined subset of investment strategies. Under the guidance of senior team members and management, help onboard new employees and support their development by sharing knowledge of policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
* Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
* 2+ years of total relevant work experience
Preferred:
* 4+ years of total relevant work experience
* Critical thinking skills and abilities to solve complex problems and evaluate optimal solutions
* Strong communication skills including technical writing to concisely summarize and communicate between investment personnel and operational teams
* Ability to influence and interact effectively with stakeholders and partners
* Completion of or progress towards an MBA, MSF, CFA, or CPA program
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
Base Salary Ranges

$69,500.00 - $118,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$76,500.00 - $130,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$87,000.00 - $148,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
