**Job Summary**
Our Construction Management team is looking for a Construction Inspector to work on various Transportation Road & Highways projects. This position will be on-site, and the responsibilities includes inspecting construction activities, verifying that work completed by contractors is in accordance with contract documents for roadway and bridge projects; material testing and sampling; tracking quantities and documenting contractors' work.
This position will be based out of our office in Phoenix, AZ and will be expected to work in various areas throughout Arizona.
**Responsibilities & Qualifications**

+ At least 2+ years of experience in the inspection of bridge and roadway construction projects.
+ ATTI, ACI and ATSSA certification preferred.

What You Will Bring to Our Firm
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

Research and support various transportation related government regulations, standards and grant programs.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENT
Minimum four-year degree in Planning, Engineering, Geography, GIS, or Environmental Sciences or related field of study is preferred.
1-3 years of related experience working directly in the transportation planning field, actively engaging in projects relating the preparation of various types of transportation plans and studies, transportation demand management, mobility planning, multimodal access, surface transportation, and funding.
Effective analytical skills and some prior experience with research techniques, local/regional geography, transportation networks, systems, and modalities.
Proficient oral and report writing skills. Expresses confidence and comfort in interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.

What You Will Be Doing:
Leading team delivery of drinking water projects including evaluation and detailed design of intake structures, surface and ground water treatment plants, water reuse systems, storage, pumping, and transmission and distribution projects.
Preparing master planning reports and documentation required for grants and loans.
Self-motivated subject matter expert; demonstrated through participating in local professional organizations, preparing, and presenting market specific papers and presentations.
Ability to articulate and operate within the One Water paradigm.
Integration of smart water systems, process automation, and machine learning into overall water production and distribution design.
Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and other applicable engineering design tools.
Work in collaboration with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, and CAD) in producing plans and specifications.
Assisting in marketing business opportunities with key clients and development of responses to RFP/RFQs.
Providing marketing, technical leadership, and support during the procurement and execution of projects.
Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients.
Assisting clients with permitting, property acquisition, and stakeholder involvement.
Successfully collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams.
Consistently managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Desire and ability to manage and mentor staff.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in either Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
At least 10 years of relevant experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license; Illinois PE preferred or must be able to obtain within 6 months of hire date.
Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and/or Wisconsin network of water/wastewater connections.
Regional expertise in one or more areas of water supply, treatment, storage, and/or distribution technical expertise.
Active participation in professional organizations.
Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.

In the role of Senior Construction Manager, we'll count on you to:
* Take responsibility for subcontractor coordination, scheduling and quality control
* Prepare the Project Management Plan of Construction Management Plan
* Develop procedures for executing construction contract administration such activities including document, change, time, cost, quality and safety management, and implement procedures in coordination with the project team
* Perform additional construction management activities, including development procurement - construction schedules, construction subcontract scopes, review of subcontract terms and conditions, performance of constructability and value engineering reviews, construction estimating and schedule reviews, and project construction performance presentations
* Administer and manage construction activities

* Assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages
* Coordinate document management

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience.
