Job Summary
Under the Airport's Design and Construction Division, the Infrastructure Information Management (IIM) - BIM Integration Team (BIT) seeks qualified professionals to support the advancement of the Airport's enterprise Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and digital transformation efforts.
This position will play a key role in advancing the Airport's Digital Twin initiatives and enhancing its digital project delivery and asset management capabilities by expanding VDC processes, improving data quality, and fostering integration and information sharing across the organization.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Project Engagement and Validation
* Engagement with multi-discipline project teams and coordination of all construction projects across all phases of design and construction.
* Validate drawings, models, and digital deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Airport's VDC standards.
* Maintaining correspondence with project teams and proactive communication based upon the prescribed engagement strategy.
Strategic Development
* Participate in the collection, creation, coordination, and maintenance of a federated digital campus model representing Airport facilities and infrastructure.

* Collaborate closely with team members to strengthen the Airport's Digital Twin and enterprise integration strategy through innovation, communication, and continuous improvement.
Common Data Environment (CDE) Administration
* Refine and optimize the Airport's CDE with Autodesk Construction Cloud, establishing workflows and governance for document management, version control, and model sharing; utilizing international and national references as a framework.
* Support project teams in maintaining user permissions, adhering to Airport's VDC standards and file naming conventions to support efficient and collaborative information management.
Data and Analytics Enablement
* Support the collection, processing, and integration of field-captured data (e.g., laser scanning, photogrammetry) into BIM models.
* Explore ways to leverage BIM and related data to produce visualizations, dashboards, and insights that enhance stakeholder decision-making and operational efficiency.
Documentation and Training
* Document project status, workflows, and business processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in digital project delivery.
* Develop and deliver reference materials, technical manuals, and presentations to support user adoption and consistent application of BIM and VDC workflows.
* Provide technical support to Airport staff and external project partners.
Experience and Qualifications
* Expertise in 3D model-based data collection, processing, and integration.
* Strong working experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Dynamo, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and the Autodesk AEC ecosystem.
* Deep understanding of design, construction, and operational phases of building and infrastructure projects.
* Familiarity with digital standards and best practices for information management and data governance.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively and support multidisciplinary project teams, navigating varying levels of technical proficiency to foster collaboration, understanding and alignment.
* Strong organizational, coordination, and interpersonal skills.

Primary Responsibilities
Our Northern California Transportation Business Group is looking for a strong Senior Environmental Transportation Planner with a thorough understanding and experience both supporting and managing a range of project types. The successful candidate for this position will be involved with working with our client, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in addition to other transportation agencies. The Senior Environmental Planner will report to the Environmental Transportation Planning Section Manager and will be an interdisciplinary team member who participates in transportation project development; prepares environmental analysis of proposed projects and design alternatives; identifies environmental impacts and formulates measures to mitigate impacts; prepares environmental clearance documents for infrastructure projects in compliance with all applicable local, State and Federal laws, regulations and policies, and has the ability to participate in construction monitoring and compliance reporting.
This role will support the environmental planning and engineering teams in our local and regional transportation infrastructure practice.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in planning, preparation and analysis/review of CEPA/NEPA documents and permits for transportation clients including roadways/highways, transit, bicycle/trail, railways, ports, and aviation clients.
Responsibilities will include and not be limited to:
* Planning and management of multiple projects or tasks ranging from small- to large-size environmental planning and compliance projects

We are seeking a motivated and articulate Senior Project Manager (PM III) with a strong focus on Department of Energy (DOE) programs to join our growing Project Management team. This Seller-Doer role supports both Business Development and Operations, with locations in the U.S. West (Northern California, Los Alamos, or Denver) and Southeast (Knoxville, Savannah, or Columbia). The ideal candidate is a licensed Architect or Engineer with proven experience delivering A/E projects for DOE clients. The role requires clear documentation of project progress and alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

HDR seeks a highly motivated project manager to work in the transit market sector. This position will provide project management and technical services to transit clients in Northern California. Specifically, this individual may work in client offices to manage and deliver projects and respond to client needs related to transit projects. This position requires strong management skills and the ability to work with different facets of transit capital projects. This position requires on-site work with client offices, and hiring will be contingent upon client approval.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with transit agencies in California experience working with transit agencies such as Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority (CCJPA), and Caltrain is highly desirable. The successful candidate shall demonstrate knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local standards and requirements and has an understanding of project delivery processes for various phases of project development such as conceptual design and feasibility, environmental documentation, preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E), and providing Design Support During Construction (DSDC).
In the role of Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
* Manage capital program engineering design and construction projects or programs in assigned areas from conceptual design through completion; project areas may include Trackwork, station improvements, Traction Power and electrical systems, automated fare collection, and other tasks as needed for state-of-good repair.
* Perform construction project management duties; prepares cost estimates; prepares and monitors project schedules and budgets; conducts field inspections as required; monitors work in progress.
* See that the proactive project management system plans, organizes, controls, and evaluates all work.
* Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.

Performs thermal comfort analysis at the building and master planning scale.
Performs heat transfer and moisture migration analysis on envelope components.
Understand the basics of heat transfer and how it impacts envelope design.
Performs detailed calculation to assess applicability of renewable technologies and relative energy yields.
Remains current on issues related to sustainable and green building design, US Green Building activities and various versions of the LEED Green Building Rating System.

Position Responsibilities
● Performs structural engineering design and prepares design and construction documents, integrating own work and the work of others.
● Solves complex problems in connection with structural engineering segments of projects.
● Generates ideas, reviews and filters ideas generated by junior engineers in preparation of drawings and engineering design and analysis.
● Coordinates details and dimensions.
● Reviews structural engineering documents for code compliance.
● Develops portions of structural engineering design concepts incorporating planning, architectural, engineering, and other required systems.
● Participates in coordination efforts with other disciplines in collaboration with project leadership.
● Reviews structural engineering design documents for compliance with approved program requirements.
● Confers with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project development.
● Reviews shop drawing and product submittals for general conformance with the structural engineering documents.
● Proactively handles a reasonable workload to meet project task deadlines and commitments and manages own time effectively.
Leadership Responsibilities
● Actively supports the development of internal SOM community activities.
● Guides and encourages the development of Junior and Intermediate Professional Structural Engineers.
● Creates a supportive inclusive working environment with focus on design excellence and innovative, creative ideas.
● Assists project leaders and senior structural engineering professionals in achieving project budget, deliverables and schedule.
● Encourages incorporation of sustainable strategies in all project assignments.
● Protects SOM from financial and legal risk.
Minimum Qualifications
● Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
● Minimum 4 years of experience in design development, structural analysis, documentation and detailing on a variety of projects.
● Professional licensure process is close to completion; LEED accreditation preferred.
● Exhibits initiative, process innovation, problem solving, and decision quality with a high attention to precision and accuracy at a task specific level.
● Actively collaborates at a project team level by critically and constructively evaluating ideas.
● Effectively communicates internally through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means.
● Demonstrates general knowledge of site planning, civil, structural and mechanical, electrical engineering, and architectural practice.
● Demonstrates practical knowledge of building codes.
● Possesses advanced knowledge of computational and FEM tools for daily use on project design.

Position Responsibilities
Contributes to SOM's vision by enabling clear communication among team members, consultants and clients. Promote professional relationships internally and externally.
Supports the project lead to document project communications, file and organize project documents and disseminate project information with the project team.
Assists in project drive and group set-up and protocols.
Supports scheduling of client and consultant meetings as needed.
Record minutes of these meetings and document action items.
Works with internal SOM staff to implement, update and manage in Vision software, project staffing and resource planning.
In conjunction with Structural Leadership, coordinates with Project Accountant in preparation appropriate billings and pursue payment compliance.
Maintains and updates project data (in various mediums including hard copy project files, network drives etc.) in a timely manner to ensure accurate reporting of earnings and accurate billings.
Minimum Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture or Civil/Structural Engineering.
Minimum 2 years relevant experience or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A highly professional, creative and committed individual with proven collaboration, technical and organizational skills.
A proven work ethic and the ability to anticipate project, client and team needs, service oriented, initiate decisions and coordinate the activities of others.
Interest in, and ability to, handle financial management issues as it relates to project team members, consultant team members and project performance.
Strong command of Google Workspace.
Strong proofreading skills.
Smartsheet skills are highly desirable.
