The Data Center Global Services team is looking for exceptional individuals to join our Controls organization as a Controls Technician for Service & Construction of the Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) within Amazon data centers. The ideal candidate will possess technical background and experience in installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of field sensors, controllers, wiring, networking and programming associated with the industrial controls systems. Controls Technicians shall be responsible for participating in the installation, testing, troubleshooting and startup of equipment and controls system associated with the BMS and EPMS system deployment in the data centers. They will verify, configure, and troubleshoot field devices including Air Handler Unit (AHU) controllers, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Temperature and Pressure Sensors, and Third Party Network or Serial Devices, controllers and network equipment.
Key job responsibilities
· Primarily working in field at Data Center sites and supporting multiple sites under Deployment and/or Service.
· Perform point to point checkouts between field devices and controllers.
· Perform first-line diagnostics, troubleshooting and maintenance of instrumentation associated with the BMS and EPMS in data centers.
· Perform network configurations and communication testing between third party devices and controllers or servers.
· Configuration and calibration of sensors.
· Able to read and understand Electrical schematics, control panel drawings. Basic understanding of close loop controls, field sensors scaling, AND/OR functions typically performed by industrial controllers.
· Supervise low voltage electrical contractors who perform wiring and installation of field devices.
· Commissioning and systems level testing support.
· Provide red-lined drawings and recommendations based on field work and verify accuracy of as-built drawings.
· Assist in performing root cause analysis during testing and commissioning.
· Ensure all personnel on site utilize proper safety methodology.
· Work on-call and a rotating schedule when required and responds to after-hours emergencies.
· Perform basic support concepts such as ticketing systems, root cause analysis, and task prioritization.
Physical Requirements:
· Walk jobsites in uneven terrain and work at heights and from ladders.
· Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or craw.
· On occasions, lift and/or move up to 49 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 50 pounds or more.
· Work shifts longer than eight hours in duration.

The Role
Presidio Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support and co-management of customers' IT environments. The daily activities include managing service tickets, responding to customer calls, resolving technical issues, and proactively identifying and addressing potential problems. Additionally, you will monitor system alerts, maintain and optimize managed services tools, and document any changes or updates within customer environments. This individual regularly communicates with team members and leadership to share insights, escalate issues, and report customer feedback.
**Please note this role is for a 3rd shift opportunity that will cover the 12am EST-9am EST shift**
Responsibilities include:
Operational co-management of customers' IT infrastructure and user environments
Daily queue management to ensure tickets are worked, updated, and resolved according to documented processes
Taking customer and end user calls via Managed Service's phone queue
Work reactive and/or proactive tickets
Participate in problem management and seek opportunities for proactive services
Create and generate tickets when tasks and actions are identified. Escalate and/or complete work
React, investigate, and remediate warning alerts and data in customer environments
Document changes in customer environment or maintenance schedule in appropriate Knowledge Base(s)
Participate in administration, maintenance, and/or optimization of Managed Services tools
Participate in continual education in technology verticals) to stay in sync with tech advancements, changes, and updates to Standards
Participate in on call rotations
Effectively communicate information to responsible individuals at proper intervals:
Business Alignment - all technical findings, analysis results, opportunities uncovered, and recommendations
Managed Services Team - updates, knowledge share, of any and all kind
Managing Consultant - daily: commendations from customers, escalations, customer satisfaction issues or challenges
Execute tasks assigned by Managing Consultant and/or Managers
Required Skills and Professional Experience
1-4 years of experience with the following preferred:
NOC or IT helpdesk response for alert-based events and incidents
Opening and escalating cases with ISPs
Troubleshooting from monitoring tools
Taking users and IT staff support calls
Following knowledge base articles to resolve incidents
Microsoft OS patching
IT Generalist, understanding of network connectivity as well as compute technologies
Has experience working in IT operations environment from an ITSM, PSA and/or ticketing tool
Understands and can follow service management methodology such as ITIL

Summary/Objective Runoff technician is the final step before manufactured plastics machines are shipped to customers. The Runoff Technician tests machines, equipment and their subassemblies following layouts, electrical circuits and other written and verbal specifications. They troubleshoot and isolate all electrical, hydraulic and mechanical machine problems prior to shipping to customers.
