Sadly, in 1918 a fire destroyed the building that housed the college for its first 10 years.
But supporters of Tabor banded together and built two new buildings in two years’ time: a dormitory/dining hall and an administration/ classroom building finished in 1920 and still used today.
Rolland Lawrence (born 1951), cornerback for Atlanta Falcons, is the only other Tabor athlete to play professionally.
In 1961, Reimer Stadium was built on the south side of Tabor College campus and named after former athletic director Del Reimer.
As a college that is owned and operated by the Mennonite Brethren Church, Tabor accepts and seeks to follow the Confession of Faith of the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren, which was adopted in 1975 and its subsequent revisions.
Tabor College also formed an extension of the main institution when Tabor College in Wichita opened offices in 1993 and the first classes began the following year.
There were 594 students enrolled at the Tabor College Hillsboro campus for the Fall 2014 semester.
In the fall of 2014, AGS launched a new master of arts degree in entrepreneurial ministry leadership.
On March 1, 2019, it was announced that Tabor plans to relocate their online programs from Wichita to the Hillsboro campus.
