Prior to excelleRx, Dr. Knowlton owned several pharmacy and infusion-related businesses including Amherst Pharmacy and Health Education Center, which serviced the largest nursing homes in South Jersey. At the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, he was Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Management in the College of Pharmacy and Science. He is the author and co-author of numerous books, book chapters, and articles focused on the role and responsibility of pharmacists in the outcomes of patient-centered medication care. His book, Pharmaceutical Care, is in its second edition.Dr. Knowlton received his Bachelors in Pharmacy from Temple University, his Masters in Divinity from Princeton University, and his PhD in Pharmacoeconomics from the University of Maryland.
