Position Description The Construction Foreman position includes but is not limited to performing construction duties as needed and supervising job site personnel and subcontractors to complete the scope of work assigned. The Construction Foreman will assist in coordinating construction projects in a manner that maximizes profitability to the company, surpasses the expectations of our clients, and ensures a quality product that meets or exceeds the industry standard. This position will provide services in an efficient and timely manner and conduct business in a safe, ethical, and professional manner. Additionally, this position will act as Job Site Safety Officer and implement internal company safety policies at the job site. Inspect and inventory equipment/materials/parts at the time of delivery for damage, necessary quantities, and to ensure specifications are met. Schedule inspections, meet with inspectors and oversee subcontractors. Conduct and document daily tailgate safety meetings including identification of potential safety hazards in and around the work area. Ensure all individuals within the work area are compliant with all safety requirements, ensure the work area is always clean and secure. Adjusting with changing field conditions and requirements. Immediately report all accidents and incidents to Project Manager or Construction Manager. Continually discuss issues affecting the schedule with the Construction Manager or Project Manager. Keep the job within allotted labor hours. Discuss overtime hours with the Construction Manager or Project Manager prior to implementation. Submit project related documentation to Project Manager. Minimum Experience & Requirements A valid California Driver's License, acceptable driving record, company provided vehicle with secure at-home parking. 3-5 years related experience in commercial petroleum construction installation/supervision. Current or prior ICC UST Install/Retrofit, ICC UST Decommissioning and ICC Service Technician and Veeder Root certifications. 24 or 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate or current 8-hour refresher courses. Drive a company vehicle to job sites and drive extensive distances, occasionally up to 1000 miles per week (and conduct daily DVIR inspections). Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Teams, Word). Other Requirements Complete criminal background check, MVR, physical examination and drug screening. Ability to speak clearly & professionally to communicate with clients & team members. Atkinson is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to support our Southern California operations. The Estimating/Preconstruction Department is responsible for preparing budgets and bids for all Atkinson projects, and for continuous preconstruction on awarded projects that are in the development phase. The responsibilities of the Estimating/Preconstruction Department include compiling qualified bidders lists; issuing invitations to bidders; soliciting bids; preparing estimates for all Atkinson work, quantifying and pricing labor and materials; receiving bids; and reviewing bids to prepare total project costs. The Physical Side of the Role: This is an active, hands-on role. You can expect to be on your feet frequently, navigating active job sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists.
