The GI Therapeutic Area within Lilly Immunology Development is focused on developing new therapies for patients with gastrointestinal diseases. The GI immunology development team is seeking a motivated clinical research scientist that is passionate about drug development within gastroenterology. The candidate must have extensive drug development experience in mid-to-late phase trials. Key Objectives/Deliverables
The primary responsibilities of the Development CRS are generally related to late-phase and marketed compounds. The core job responsibilities may include those listed below as deemed appropriate by line management, as well as other duties as assigned.
Clinical Planning: product lifecycle plan, clinical strategies, development plans and study protocol design. Provide subject matter expertise and keep updated with the pre-clinical and clinical data relevant to the molecule
ClinicalTrial Execution and Support: Plans, collaborates on and reviews scientific content of clinical documents such as protocols, informed consent documents, final study reports, and submissions. Supports the monitoring of patient safety during study and engages in the global product safety reviews. Cross function collaboration with clinicaltrial teams in the design, conduct and reporting of mid to late phase clinicaltrials. Conduct study start-up meetings, investigator meetings and other activities to provide the appropriate training and information to investigators and site personnel.
Scientific Data Dissemination/Exchange: engage in reporting of clinicaltrial data in ClinicalTrial Registry activities. Support the planning of symposia, advisory board meetings, and other meetings with health care professionals. Establish and maintain collaborations and relationships thought leaders. Responsibilities
Works side-by-side with Project Manager(s) and Project Director(s) in providing assistance to efficiently and effectively oversee the clinicaltrial(s) progression including sponsor's vendor/CRO oversight, compliance with systems use, ensures accuracy of data quality for subject safety.
Communication Across Teams
Liaises with CROs and other clinical vendors as directed to ensure deliverables are met and methods of communication are developed to facilitate efficient workflow.

Translates complex scientific information into clear, actionable summaries for administrative and regulatory purposes.

Assists with the development and review of clinicaltrial documents (e.g., study related plans like protocols, amendments, ICFs, IRB reports, CSRs, IBs, SAPs, regulatory submissions).
Supports data integrity by cross-checking laboratory reports, pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic data, and adverse event summaries.
Verifies and reviews collected trial data to confirm validity and scientific reliability, assists in reconciliation.
Document Management
Performs quality reviews of trials master files to ensure completeness and audit-readiness.

Your Role: Research Scientist - Clinical Study Management
The Research Scientist - Clinical Study Management position is responsible for the management of pivotal, regulated and non-pivotal studies at Elanco sites and Contract Research Organizations. Position Summary:
The Associate Director, Clinical Research Scientist has responsibility assisting in design, execution and reporting of current and future clinical oncology trials ranging from phase 1 - 3. Position Summary:

Minimum Requirements:
An advanced health/medical/scientific degree (such as DVM, PharmD, PhD, or MSN with advanced clinical specialty).

Position Overview:
The Development Clinical Research Scientist (CRS) in the Breast Cancer Franchise will be primarily focused on late phase assets in an evolving portfolio. This role is pivotal in the design, execution, and analysis of clinicaltrials that support the development of innovative breast cancer therapies. The CRS ensures that all medical team activities align with the medical vision and stay in sync with current regulations, laws, guidance (e.g. FDA, ICH, and CPMP etc.), Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), company standards, and Lilly policies.
This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional partners including medical affairs, clinical operations, regulatory, statistics and data science to advance the oncology pipeline and improve patient outcomes. The successful candidate will proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to medical oversight of clinicaltrials and contribute to regulatory submissions, external engagements, and data disclosure activities.
This role includes supervisory responsibilities and requires demonstrated leadership in clinical development, strong mentoring capabilities, and exceptional written communication skills-particularly for external data disclosures and regulatory documentation.
Primary Responsibilities
* Contribute to the development and execution of clinical strategies for breast cancer programs. Maintain a focus on accelerating timelines while ensuring quality.
