Provide technical thought leadership and evaluate different solutions/vendors/designs to determine the best solution for the business needs. Provide routine reporting and analysis of network information and performs root cause analysis of recurring problems. Develop performance and service level objectives under the direction of the Manager, IT Provide IT operations support, which may include: collecting and reporting performance data, outage data, review of error logs and backup logs, and other monitoring as assigned and can provide assessment of results and recommendations for improvement. Configure test environments on a continual basis. Control and maintain an up-to-date library of product releases, service packs, hot fixes, patches, Installs new equipment as it arrives. Place support calls with vendors as needed on new and existing equipment. Maintains all lab equipment - troubleshoots and repairs faulty equipment as needed whether it be hardware or software related. Assist in the scheduling of out of town assignments, on-call support, and off-hour change requirements. Assist in the implementation and documentation of best practices in infrastructure maintenance and support. Top candidates will have an aptitude to learn new technology and have a "do what it takes" attitude. * Create and modify firewall rule sets, policies, and security device configurations; * Monitor and report on the availability of the various security layers; * Design, set up, and configure security architecture including hardware and software solutions based on the needs of the organization; * Plan and schedule changes coordinating with different stakeholders based on business needs; * Monitor security logs for alerts to troubleshoot and remediate as necessary; * Design, set up, and configure various access solutions from remote access VPNs to site-to-site VPNs using diversified security platforms; * Perform root cause analysis on security and infrastructure events as needed; * Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the secure integration and operation of all IT systems and applications; * Expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls and related security technologies such as VPNs, IDS/IPS, web application firewalls, etc; * Maintaining our Global firewall posture and connectivity between on-premise Data Centers and Azure; * Deep understanding of security threats, vulnerabilities, and attacks, and should be familiar with security concepts such as risk management, access control, network segmentation, and security policy enforcement; * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that will enable quick identification and resolution complex security issues, such as DDoS attacks, malware infections, or network breaches; * Good documentation skills to maintain accurate records of network configurations, security policies, and incident reports; and * SD-WAN experience is a strong plus. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in a related field; * Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification is desired; * Candidates must have Checkpoint firewall administration experience; * 2-5 years of hands-on experience and expertise in firewall solution delivery practices which include upgrade, research, design, build, deploy, administration, and support; * Proven hands-on experience with firewall technologies and comprehensive knowledge of networking communications and network security; * Experience with Azure Firewall configuration, setup, and troubleshooting; * Solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, ACL, and DNS, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network connectivity; * Aptitude to manage many different devices, applications, and priorities effectively; and * Ability to communicate effectively with peers, end users, and management.
