Successful track record in a staffing agency. Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and employment laws. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and current recruitment software & tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ensures recruitment staff are well informed, knowledgeable, professional and dependable as they speak for JSCC in the district and provide initial enrollment steps for prospective students and applicants. Provides high quality, effective service through learning and continuous improvement. Creates, maintains, and publishes a calendar of recruitment activities and widely distributes the Enrollment Deadline dates for students, parents, and agencies. Maintains recruiter assignments by school for the purpose of travel assignments, call lists, dual enrollment support, and other items as needed. Receives student rosters for Dual enrollment registration opportunities o Ensures student handbook accurately represents the enrollment processes and supports and keeps Enrollment Counselor Handbook updated. Responsible for the coordination of outreach activities -such as campus tours or Promise and Financial Aid workshops- for all and any interested potential students in the district. Supports the college enrollment goals as expressed in the SEM plan through providing appropriate time and attention to identified target populations. Communicates needs for materials and support from Marketing in efforts to recruit a diversity of students as is called for in the JSCC Strategic Enrollment Management Plan. Assists with admissions and facilitates checklist completion and build communications to help applicants move through the enrollment funnel. Collaborates with Dual enrollment personnel and JSCC Advising personnel other stakeholders to develop orientation materials and opportunities to prepare student for success. Creates outreach and enrollment processes for other targeted populations. Embraces and leverages appropriate technology to accomplish job functions and account for job requirements. Position Overview We are seeking a Recruiting Manager to lead our dynamic team of recruiters within the maritime division. This role focuses on placing skilled trades professionals in shipbuilding and ship repair roles. The ideal candidate will have a passion for talent acquisition and a deep understanding of the maritime industry, enabling them to drive recruitment strategies and ensure client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse group of recruiters, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Set clear goals and performance metrics for the recruitment team. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies tailored to the maritime sector, focusing on shipbuilding and ship repair. Analyze market trends to identify new opportunities for talent acquisition. Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their staffing needs and expectations. Act as a key point of contact for client inquiries and recruitment updates. Talent Acquisition: Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing candidates to onboarding and management of field employees. Utilize various sourcing methods to attract a diverse pool of skilled trades professionals. Performance Management: Monitor and report on recruitment metrics to assess team performance and identify areas for improvement. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills of the recruitment team. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Proven experience in recruiting for skilled trades, preferably within the maritime industry. Successful track record in a staffing agency. Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and employment laws. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and current recruitment software & tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a relevant field. Knowledge of maritime regulations and industry standards. Working knowledge of Tempworks ATS.
