UJAMAA is a growing general contractor in the Mid-west and South-East region. Like many firms at our stage, we've relied too heavily on external recruiters.
We're bringing recruiting in-house to build a sustainable talent pipeline across UJAMAA and UJAMAA SE, with a focus on both experienced hires and early-career talent.
You'll own recruiting. Period.
What you'll do
Build and maintain pipelines for:
Project Managers
Superintendents
Project / Field Engineers
Admin roles
Develop college and early-career recruiting
Source, screen, and qualify candidates directly
Partner with executives to close candidates quickly
Build referral and alumni pipelines
Control when (and if) agencies are used
Track recruiting metrics: cost-per-hire, pipeline depth, agency reduction
This is a pipeline-building role, not reactive posting.

About the role
As a Senior Recruiter, you will be the driving force behind attracting and securing world-class talent in North America, delivering an unparalleled candidate experience that reflects our commitment to excellence. This role partners closely with teams across p44 to fuel our growth. What You'll Do:
Attract and hire A+ talent across GTM (Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success), G&A, and Tech teams, leveraging top-tier SaaS industry expertise to deliver an outstanding experience for candidates and hiring managers
Support and scale multiple departments for hiring in North America (with a potential to hire globally!)
Use data and metrics to build process improvements (e.g. high conversion ratios, time to hire)
Be the strong talent advisor to business leaders, hiring managers and build the hiring strategy customizable to each role to deliver an outstanding recruitment experience
Build an inclusive and objective hiring process and ensures that candidate is assessed against the appropriate competencies
Source Candidates via multiple sources including:
LinkedIn Outreach
Networking Events (BuiltIn Chicago, Meetups, etc.)
Job Postings (Indeed, GitHub, StackOverflow, etc.)
Personal Network
Manage the end to end hiring process from sourcing, screening, guiding candidates them through the interview process up to offer stage and onboarding.
Coordinating with project44 leadership on event attendance and employer branding
Work in our ATS (Greenhouse) to improve visibility and automation in recruiting process
Partner with finance, HR and hiring managers and project44 leadership to ensure recruiting needs are met
What You'll Need:
5+ years of SaaS recruiting experience
Experience interpreting data and using it to influence hiring decisions
Experience with Greenhouse or other ATS
Established network and expertise in Chicago startup tech & SaaS community
Ability and willingness to organize, host, and attend networking events
Strong stakeholder & interpersonal skills; ability to rapidly develop and cultivate relationships with peers, partners, and key influencers
Confident, assertive, and metrics driven in your approach to recruitment
Ability to work independently and perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
Ability to see all tasks through to completion with a high attention to detail

Talent Development Partners are responsible for:
* Designing and delivering leadership development programs - creating and executing impactful leadership development experiences, ensuring measurable results that strengthen Markel's leadership pipeline.
* Elevating manager capability - developing and delivering courses as part of the Markel Manager Curriculum.
* Consulting and collaborating - partnering with HRBPs, business leaders and other stakeholders to diagnose needs and craft tailored development solutions.
* Creating best-in-class content - developing thought-leading resources on leadership, management, team development, and other talent topics for our global Center of Excellence.
* Championing development planning - serving as a go-to expert for coaching, 360 feedback processes, and personalized development planning.

The successful candidate will have:

Pay information:
The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The base salary range for the Talent Development Partner is $97,520 -$134,090.
