You'll be a primary point of contact for deal teams, consulting on complex, non-standard issues on Independence policies or procedures associated with firm acquisitions. This includes developing a thorough understanding of a target's business through discussions with the target and reviewing target's clients, engagements, and business relationships. + Analyzing target relationships including client engagements and business contracts, applying relevant Independence rules and standards, and consulting with Independence colleagues and audit teams, as necessary. + Thoroughly documenting due diligence work steps, including the Independence evaluation and conclusion, both in firm acquisition tools/databases and independence summary memorandums, in accordance with quality standards + Working closely with Independence executives and local country or service line leaders to identify Independence action items required to complete acquisition, and monitor progress of completion of Independence requirements. This may include managing expectations of the service line sponsors, deal team, or target. + Creating and delivering training presentations to professionals joining EY through acquisitions + Working closely with Independence colleagues to support Independence consultations, public company independence procedures and other Independence initiatives, including continual improvements to processes, developing enablers, and meeting quality control requirements + Continuously furthering knowledge of independence and staying apprised of regulatory developments. Role Overview The Talent Acquisition Lead will play a critical role in driving the company's growth by leading the end-to-end recruitment process for technical, engineering, and managerial roles. This role requires a strategic, hands-on recruiter with a background in mechanical engineering, cooling systems, or related technical fields, and experience managing full-cycle recruiting processes in-house. Key Responsibilities • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute direct sourcing strategies to attract top talent for technical, engineering, and leadership roles. • Candidate Mapping: Utilize advanced sourcing techniques to identify and map passive candidates, including competitive analysis for strategic talent acquisition. • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage the recruitment process from job description creation, candidate evaluation, and interviewing to offer negotiation and onboarding. • Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with hiring managers to understand business needs and provide tailored hiring solutions aligned with strategic goals. • Agility in Execution: Adapt and refine recruitment strategies to meet changing business needs and scale recruitment efforts effectively. • Bilingual Communication: Leverage bilingual proficiency (English is a must and Mandarin preferred) to engage diverse candidates and stakeholders effectively. • Efficiency Metrics: Track and optimize recruitment metrics, including time-to-hire, offer acceptance rates, and candidate satisfaction. Qualifications • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration, or related fields required; Master's degree preferred. • Experience: 10+ years of recruiting experience, including 3+ years of in-house talent acquisition in technical or engineering domains. • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with cooling, HVAC, or similar industries and a strong grasp of technical and managerial role requirements. • Technical Expertise: Skilled in direct sourcing techniques, candidate mapping, and creating compelling offers. • Tools: Proficiency in ATS systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and sourcing tools; mapping and talent pipeline development experience is essential. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Mandarin proficiency preferred. • Mindset: Energetic, adaptable, and highly motivated, with a keen interest in business operations and growth strategies. • Onsite Commitment: Must work onsite in Greer, SC, with the flexibility to manage sourcing independently. Director of Land Acquisition: Lennar is seeking a Director of Land Acquisition for our Columbia, South Carolina location who will develop opportunities that fit Lennar's land acquisition strategies and understanding of current market trends in land development and homebuilding. Oversee all Land Acquisition operations for the Division. Monitor and coordinate potential land acquisition opportunities. Manage initial review of all potential acquisitions Track all sites under review from initial look to contract. Track contract timelines - Earnest Money requests, end of due diligence, and for CIC submittal. (keep Land Tracker and Top 10 list updated) Liaise between sub-contractors, consultants, real estate brokers, governing agencies, utility companies, and other individuals and agencies relating to the land acquisition and development department. Network with other builders and developers to maintain market awareness and develop contacts to become a strong competitor in Division's market areas and emerging markets. Develop pipeline reports for each county within the division. Contact and meet with developers and land sellers upon VP's request and regularly update the land pipeline tracking records. Develop a broad understanding of the market including the competition, house types/sizes, price points, and sales absorption for each county within the target regions. Development/Entitlement budgeting. Compile material needed for any hearings and review boards. Work with an attorney in preparation of LOIs, Contracts, and Amendments. Coordinate Land Acquisitions Contracts with brokers and attorneys. Monitor contract compliance with VPs & outside attorneys. Liaise with attorneys for the need of Amendments to keep contracts compliant. Order Earnest Money - Contract Summary and supporting material. Prepare Contract Summaries and narratives to be included in Greenbooks Compile all Due Diligence Reports needed in Greenbooks. Coordinate on any matters related to the needs of the HOA Management companies. Qualifications: 4-year College Degree in business administration, engineering, accounting, finance, or a similar program required. Minimum 4 years experience in Land Acquisition, preferably with a National Homebuilder, preferably in the Raleigh Durham market or Columbia, SC area. Computer literacy, including word processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling, and data management software. Knowledge of sales/negotiating principles and real estate. Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Must exercise initiative and achieve objectives with minimal supervision. Must be detail-oriented and a problem-solver able to deal with complex situations.
