WHAT YOU'LL DO Talking Rain, the maker of Sparkling Ice, is looking for a Production Line Operator to be hands-on (literally!) in the production of our products. In this role you'll safely operate production packaging equipment, performing periodic quality checks. This is a great opportunity for a dedicated teammate to add to our positive plant culture and see their hard work come to life. Reports to: Shift Supervisor Direct Reports: N/A Base Hourly Rate: $22/hour + shift differential for hours worked outside of 1st shift Discretionary Bonus Potential: Up to $900 bi-annually. Eligibility is based on Plant and Company profitability. Location: Onsite at our Preston, WA plant 4 days a week Core Hours: Monday - Friday 3:00 am- 3:30pm Note: This position will work a 4x12 schedule, enjoying weekends off (Saturday & Sunday) and one rotating day off during the work week. Start and end times are subject to change due to evolving business need. Operate all production equipment in a safe manner, following all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and troubleshooting basic issues as necessary. Perform package changeovers. Down stack pallets of product in a consistently safe manner. Ensure the accuracy of use of all raw materials and availability of materials to avoid downtime. Thoroughly complete all quality and operational paperwork in a timely manner. Track pallet numbers and record them correctly on the QA inspection sheet. Verify all products and product components match the scheduled runs and current specification sheet. Continuously inspect packages for quality. Recommend suggestions to your Lead and/or Manager to increase efficiency and drive results. Verify all safety guards are in place before starting any piece of equipment. Escalate critical issues to the Leads and Shift Supervisor as needed. Work and collaborate with other teams in the plant; such as warehouse, production, QA team, and maintenance. Ensure food safety, quality, and SQF practices are always followed, notifying the immediate supervisor of any food safety and/or quality issues. Complete other responsibilities as assigned. WHAT YOU BRING Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in the food production industry. Fluent in English, able to read instructions carefully. Ability to accommodate overtime, occasionally working other shifts and weekends. Sitting/Standing/Walking: Approximately 95% of the time is spent standing. Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds. Vision: Ability to see the physical cleanliness of areas, objects, and equipment Stooping/Kneeling/Squatting: Ability to consistently kneel, bend, or stop in order to work under and around certain areas and equipment. (Approximately 40% of the time). Reaching/Handling: Ability to handle containers and spray bottles of chemicals, as well as high-pressure water and air hoses. This role is safety-sensitive.
