    The Planning Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the Forecasting, Budgeting and Planning process for the Shelf Asset team and will serve as the key point of contact for any planning or data-related requests pertaining to the Shelf Asset Team throughout the Organization. The Planning Engineer will work closely with the Shelf Asset Director, serving as a key resource to help manage the Shelf Assets day-to-day. The Planning Engineer will also play an important role in future company growth opportunities, where they will support the onboarding, transition and management of acquired assets in new basins. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will be responsible for Planning activities at Talos Energy including: Assist Planning team and Shelf Asset Director with all required weekly and monthly project updates and forecasts Responsible for overseeing monthly Production Forecasts in PHDWin for Shelf Assets Work with Shelf Operations group to reconcile costs and production on ongoing and completed projects Assist in updating Recompletion & Workover cases in PHDWin for monthly LE process Assist in providing Shelf inputs for yearly budget and annual planning process Support Shelf Asset Director with day-to-day management of Shelf assets Assist with lookbacks on monthly, quarterly and annual basis Act as an additional resource for Accounting, Finance, and Operations groups to standardize Shelf data used for internal reporting Assist in preparing Ad Hoc requests from senior management including deliverables for Board of Directors Meetings, IR Presentations, etc. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years oil and gas industry experience, offshore E&P experience preferred Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering or related engineering field QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: PHDWin or other related reserves software experience General understanding of production, accounting, drilling, completions, and plug and abandonment terminology Ability to work as a team player and work cooperatively with other teams Proficient in Microsoft office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point Able to organize and prioritize a diverse and heavy workload Good oral and written communication skills Recognize personal strengths and weaknesses and be proactive in self-development Have a strong sense of integrity and the ability to deal with ethical situations effectively CERTIFICATES & LICENSES: There are no certificates, licenses or registrations required for this position PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time and have use of arms and hands in repetitive motion. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 7+ years of experience in network engineering or related field. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Proven, hands-on experience designing and managing complex multi-site network infrastructure. Deep knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP), switching, and network segmentation. Expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and other network security technologies. Knowledge of operational technology (OT) systems and segmentation principles based on the Purdue Model will be beneficial. Ability to work independently with effective time management. Experience with cloud networking concepts and platforms (e.g., Azure). Experience with network monitoring and management tools. Knowledge of VoIP, QoS, and Cisco Unified Communications.
