Under general supervision, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, delivers nursing care to patients. Plans and implements nursing care; documents nursing assessments; identifies and reports situations requiring further intervention; formulates and communicates goal-directed plan of care; assures patient rights. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital and principles of quality improvement.

This is a full-time night shift position in our NICU at Wolfson Children's Hospital. We provide critical care for babies with various conditions; this includes comprehensive care for infants of all sizes with critical illnesses, respiratory support, sustained life support, and advanced imaging. Electrophysiology EP Registered Nurse RN for the Heart Center, Essential Job Functions:
The electrophysiology RN will provide care to patients during procedures. RN will evaluate patient readiness before the procedure and communicate any concerns to the performing Physician.
RN will collaborate with the pre-procedure nurse to ensure patients have been prepped, educated, and are ready for their procedure.
RN will provide continuous assessment and support during procedures such as Ablations and implantation of cardiac devices.
RN will cross-train to fill the scrub and monitor role during electrophysiology procedures, IE, scrub with the physician at the procedure table to assist, record, and document procedures as they are performed.
RN will be required to wear X-ray lead and assist with the transport of the patient to the recovery bay with anesthesia.
RN will be providing moderate sedation during some procedures that are not covered by anesthesia.
RN will provide hand-off communication to the receiving RN in the recovery bay and other receiving areas for post-care.
