Conduct new hire truck driver field training in conjunction with supervisors, dispatch, and the Transportation Operations & Safety Manager.
Assist with potential transportation emergencies such as motor vehicle accidents, product releases, injuries, or equipment retrieval.
Provide instructions to other drivers as requested by the Dispatcher or Customer Relations Departments.
Monitor emails and phone messages asking for assistance or advice from other Transportation personnel.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to pass a 10-panel controlled substance testing and random testing after that.
Must be able to pass a background investigation check and maintain in good standing order, as per TSA's TWIC criteria.
Education and Experience:
Must hold a required commercial driver's license appropriate for the weight of the vehicle to be operated.
Minimum of 5 years of truck driving experience with a clean safety and disciplinary record. Previous Hazmat experience required.
Certified with Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A with X endorsement (X = Tanker & Hazardous Material).
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
Potential for sleeping in the cab during certain assignments.
