Local Class A Truck Driver Drivers will pick up and deliver 20 ft. and 40 ft. ocean containers to various ports Mon-Fri. Weekends off , but may be asked to work a Saturday once per month. DRIVERS ARE USUALLY HOME EVERY NIGHT. HOWEVER, CUSTOMERS MAY OCCASIONALLY REQUEST OVERNIGHT RUNS, WHICH WOULD REQUIRE THEM TO STAY IN A HOTEL. No touch load/unload DRIVERS MUST HAVE HAZMAT AND TANKER ENDORSEMENTS PRIOR TO BEING CODED IN AS HIRED *TWIC card will be required - If driver doesn't have prior to coding, driver must apply for TWIC within 30 days of hire. Must also have 6 full months of solo verifiable tractor trailer experience in the last 3 years. Must be in a 45 ft. trailer STATES SERVED: CT, PA, NY, MD, VA, NJ (NO NEW YORK CITY) Drivers will operate newer automatic Internationals and Freightliners $1,400-$1,500 average weekly pay $25/hr. overtime after 40 hours 2-week ride along training paid out at $1,300 per week Orientation will be held for 2 days either locally or in OH. Safely operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies. Assist participants, including those using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility devices, with safe boarding and exiting. Complete required documentation accurately and on time using electronic systems. Maintain a clean, professional workspace, including vehicles and facilities. Communicate effectively and respectfully with passengers, families, facilities, and dispatch. Represent KQT with professionalism and integrity at all times. Physical Demands Sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, push, pull, and reach for extended periods. Assist participants with mobility, including stair navigation and wheelchair support. Frequently lift and move up to 125 pounds. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license in good standing. Delaware employees require a Z endorsement, Maryland Employees require PSC Certification. Current CPR certification. COVID Vaccination required for dedicated PACE Drivers. One year of related driving or customer service experience preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Basic computer skills (timekeeping and documentation are electronic).
