The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Variant Analyst to join our molecular diagnostics and genomics team. This role is essential in supporting precision medicine by reviewing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, annotating genetic polymorphisms, and pre-interpreting variants linked to various diseases. The successful candidate will collaborate with pathologists, cytogeneticists, and bioinformaticians to ensure accurate and timely variant classification, enabling physicians to generate clinical reports and inform patient care. Key Responsibilities
+ Analyze NGS data from somatic panels to identify, annotate, and classify genetic variants using established guidelines (e.g., ACMG/AMP).

**Description**
This role is a key part of Emory Digital's Growth Team, supporting business development and strategic growth across the enterprise. As a member of the Growth Team, the Epic Analyst IV will be expected to successfully collaborate across multiple Digital teams to align strategies and workflows, serving as a main facilitator for Emory growth projects within the Digital portfolio. The main focus of this work will be on Epic's Inpatient/ClinDoc/Orders modules, and also have experience working in other Epic modules, as well. Multiple Epic certifications and expertise is preferred. As part of the Growth Team this role will be focused on new roll outs across either new health systems, clinics, or Community Connect engagements.
The Epic Analyst IV will oversee workflow design, application build, third-party integration, and testing for the areas in which they support and serve as the application expert and point of contact in projects such as mergers, acquisitions, Epic Community Connect integrations, and internal expansion initiatives. Success in this role will be measured by the seamless integration of new business units, improved workflow efficiencies, and positive stakeholder feedback on project execution. The Epic Analyst IV operates with autonomy and has proven experience prioritizing and managing their own workstreams with strong project coordination background. Though not a requirement, the ideal candidate should be based in Atlanta or nearby to easily access business partners on site throughout a project's lifecycle.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

Description
The Epic Application Analyst (Cadence) is responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, maintenance and ongoing support of the Epic Cadence module. You will work across interdisciplinary workgroups to accomplish set goals as a team. As an Epic Cadence Analyst, you will be instrumental in elevating Emory Healthcare's patient scheduling experience by assisting with Epic Cadence troubleshooting, testing, builds, and assisting with Epic Cadence project related work. You will have the opportunity to become Epic Cadence certified (required within 90 days), and work on a team of dedicated Cadence Analysts who will provide mentoring and training to you as you build your skill set further.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* The Epic Application Analyst (Cadence) is a representative of the Information Technology team and is responsible for establishing, fostering and maintaining positive business relationships with Emory co-workers; interdisciplinary workgroups; clinical and financial department representatives; Epic partners; and all other staff who use or interact with the Epic application suite.
* Receives direction and oversight from senior staff.
* Develops knowledge of system capabilities, applications, and processes to function effectively as an educator and expert for system users.
* Participates actively in routine meetings with department heads and/or superusers to identify, document, and prioritize their needs.
* Provides technical support services.
* Provides Epic Cadence and other applications software support, file maintenance, and build for break-fixes, optimizations, special updates, upgrades, and implementations.
* Provides assessment, coordination, documentation, release note review, testing, and implementation of programming, upgrade, and project requests.
* Maintains strong and positive relationships with all application vendors.
* Assist with Epic Security assignment, security templates and maintenance where appropriate.
* Provides on-call coverage as scheduled.
* Provides project management services and support under close direction of management.
* Follows EHC IS project management protocol. Advocates user perspective and focuses on ensuring a comprehensive support plan and documentation.
* Works with end users to navigate the new request process.
* Ensures compliance with EHC IS, EHC, Joint Commission, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act guidelines, policies, and procedures.
* Provides system solutions in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
* Follows prescribed change management and time reporting processes and documentation requirements.
* Responds to support calls within designated times according to priority and provides regular updates until resolution.
* Provides and communicates clear documentation for support, status, and issues resolutions.
* Remains current on Epic new version training for all applicable Epic certifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent related experience OR 4 years of experience without a degree.
* This position requires that the appropriate Epic certification be successfully obtained for a specific area of assigned responsibility within the first 90 days of completing training if not obtained prior to hire.

The IT/Digital Budgets and Contracts Analyst will enhance our IT/Digital Financial Informatics team. You will collaborate in budget planning, reconciling expenses, resolving financial discrepancies, and coordinating contract management activities and vendor relations on behalf of and with our IT/Digital teams. The Analyst facilitates contract execution, audits agreements and invoices, and maintains tracking databases to ensure compliance and timely renewals. Additionally, the position supports process improvement, develops automation opportunities, and generates reports to inform financial and operational decisions.. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring financial and contractual integrity. This position oversees the planning, tracking, and management of IT budgets, analyzes spending trends, and provides strategic insights to support cost‑effective decision‑making. The analyst manages the full lifecycle of IT contracts-including procurement, renewals, compliance monitoring, and vendor coordination-to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
BUDGETS & CONTRACTS:
* Collaborates in, and as necessary leads, budget discovery and planning meetings to resolve issues, develop recommendations, and enhance departmental transparency.
* Provides details on observed budget discrepancies or deviations.
* Determines and recommends options for addressing budget issues for department.
* Coordinates and facilitates between Digital teams and vendors to reconcile to budget and contract terms.
* Reviews, validates, and tracks expenses against capital and operational budgets.
* Submits Digital invoices to Accounts Payable and rectifies payment problems.
* Investigates and resolves routine issues related to invoicing, billing, or purchasing activities.
VENDOR MANAGEMENT:
* Serves as Liaison to Procurement & Digital teams for facilitating execution of new contracts.
* Understands technical terms, service level agreements, deliverables of agreement, and performance of the agreements and reports observed variances.
* Organizes and prepares comprehensive analysis and associated materials for presentations and vendor strategy sessions.
* Maintains Vendor/Contracts & Business Tracking databases on behalf of Financial Informatics.
* Proactively gathers and audits executed contracts, invoices, and maintenance renewals for accuracy and to queue agreements requiring attention due to approaching terminations &/or renewal milestones.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & STAFF RESOURCE:
* Proactively identifies & develops opportunities for automation for core Financial Informatics functions. Independently develops and generates reports from Digital, Finance, and/or any other source systems to accumulate raw data and synthesize insights to support financial health and budgetary prudence.
* Creates, monitors, and reports on metrics or KPIs, as appropriate and assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, computer science, information systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
* EXPERIENCE - Two years related financial and/or vendor management experience within an IT setting
* KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* This role requires a proactive approach to problem solving and a demonstrated ability to work independently, with some management oversight.
* Candidates must have previous experience in working with IT/Digital budgets, or a relevant space, and possess exemplary budgeting and contract/vendor agreement related skillsets and strategies.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Preferred candidates are those who present with advanced reporting and analytical skills, specifically pertaining to budgets in a healthcare IT setting.

The OP Coder 2 position reports directly to the Supervisor of Coding. Key responsibilities of the role include: Reviewing documentation in same day surgery and observation medical records, and accurately and completely assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnostic and procedural CPT-4/HCPCS codes to the greatest specificity, and assigning the most accurate APC when appropriate. Abstracts demographic and coding information accurately and completely
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Codes and abstracts medical records with a minimum of accuracy:
* Accurately and completely assigns appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnostic and CPT-4/HCPCS procedural codes to the greatest specificity, assigning the most accurate DRG/APC, when appropriate and in accordance with Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting and Facility Coding Guidelines, as applicable
* Accurately and completely abstracts all required patient demographic data into the EMR
* Accurately assigns correct APC
* Meets productivity standards
* Queries providers, if needed to further clarify code
Manages additional coding responsibilities, contributing to the CFB (candidate for bill) goals, including but not limited to:
* Resolves coding edits and reminders, correcting abstracting and coding issues in a timely manner (1-2 business days)
* Completes and routes problem accounts, ready to code, high dollar and other accounts daily to ensure cases are coded as close to goal date as possible
* Completes assigned work by goal date
* Assists with coding unassigned or backlogged accounts
* Accurately capture the surgical CPT code(s) for pre-certification reconciliation for each of the WHS facilities, as needed
Other task as assigned:
* Serves as a mentor to new coders
* Assist with cleaning up or escalating missing documentation or other work queues
* If proficient, assists with outpatient and emergency coding when needed or assigned
* Other tasks as assigned
