CEO

Does the leadership team provide a clear direction for weatherTAP.com?
WeatherTAP was just one small (but profitable!) division of a larger media company. The developer and manager of WeatherTAP was excellent, and did more with a small staff than I’ve ever seen - or may ever see - professionally.
The third generation of management was paralyzed by the changing landscape brought on by the web. The fourth generation CEO, though young, had ZERO vision, leadership, and was simply dishonest. He (along with his father, who was on the board) only wanted to sell the 82-year-old company, when there were plenty of digital marketing models they could have transitioned to and continued to be profitable and successful.
The employees were a fine collection of folks who truly wanted the company to succeed.
As a business leader, he was a good skateboarder.
It has been sold, so you’d need a time machine to go back to improve the company culture by choosing a different CEO for the fourth generation of leadership.
Studied all the divisions and profit centers.
Excellent for a small town.
They did as well as the could, being located in a homogeneous, small Appalachian town.
Seeing a small team compete with much larger companies.
