GENERAL SUMMARY:
Drives coach to transport passengers to designated points, over specified routes within TARC's operating area in the safest possible manner; and according to time schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates assigned coach to transport passengers to designated points in the safest and most efficient manner, while maintaining the schedule and route assigned.
Validates accurate fares and passes; collects and distributes transfer tickets.
Totals transfers, records total on transfer envelope; and turns in envelope daily.
Complies with local traffic regulations and uses two-way radio to report delays, accidents or mechanical failures.
Maintains logs/envelopes to record routes, changes, etc.
Inspects coach and equipment prior to leaving garage and notifies dispatch or maintenance personnel of problems/needs.
Regulates heating and ventilation for passenger comfort.
Assists passengers, i.e., elderly or people with disabilities.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED; an equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the above stated minimums excluding high school diploma, GED, licenses, or certifications.
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must possess a valid KY or IN driver's license, and qualify for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Must have a good driving record
Must obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) permit prior to start date.
Must obtain and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) as a condition of continued employment..
Pass a physical (medical) examination that includes a drug screen.
Must be available to work between the hours of 3:53am and 2:54am.
Must work well with limited supervision, enjoy working with the public; and be neat in appearance.
Must perform successfully on pre-employment test(s).

WORK EFFORT
Must be able to see, hear and speak.
Must have clarity of vision at a minimum of 20 inches or less; and at a maximum of 20 feet or more.
Frequent climbing of stair steps which are varied in height.
Frequent reaching and handling. Repetitive ankle/foot movement to push foot pedals for gas and brake control. (6-7hrs in 8hr shift).
Occasional lifting and pushing.
Must have the ability to safely and properly operate a variety of tools to include coach, two-way radio, run guide and transfers.
All coaches are wheelchair accessible. Operators must possess the ability to safely operate wheelchair lift, lock in the wheelchair and ensure the safety of all passengers. Pushing may be required to push wheelchair into position. Operators of all coaches must possess the ability to safely operate the coach, maintain time schedules, and ensure the safety of all passengers.
The Coach Operator works alone in the operation of the vehicle. He or she may perform repetitive routes and must perform under the stress of different routes which are influenced by the passengers (volume), time of day, scheduling, time of month, season/weather, etc.
Coach Operators must also be prepared to respond to real and/or perceived emergency situations, including those that are true life-threatening situations. Among other judgmental calls, the operators must be able to distinguish between a true vs perceived emergency situation and act accordingly. Therefore, the position requires the objective adaptability to make generalizations, evaluations or decisions based on measurable or verifiable criteria. The position requires sensory or judgmental criteria to make decisions.

SPECIAL NOTES
Vision:
Three-dimensional vision and the ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they really are is essential. Near or far visual acuity defects would adversely affect job performance and/or the safety of others.
The ability to identify and distinguish colors is required. Field of vision as used to observe areas that can be seen up and down or right to left when eyes are fixed on a given point is required.
Hearing:
The ability to hear is required to hear passenger requests, bus signals and alarms. Operators must possess the ability to distinguish traffic noise, sirens, weather alerts, car horns, etc.
Speech:
Operators must possess the ability to speak with passengers and announce stops and locations which are audible to the rear of the bus.
Frequent Reaching:
Operators frequently extend arms in forward direction to reach steering wheel, fare box or transfer holder. They may reach to the left or front for the control panel.
Frequent Handling:
Operators are frequently handling to seize, hold, grasp, and turn the steering wheel. Driving gloves may be worn but are optional.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The incumbent will be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid and/or windy conditions.

Clerical Processes: Manage delinquent external loans, prepare reports on team performance, and audit team members work to ensure all procedures are followed and effective. Manage the closing of repossession cases and oversee redemption procedures, ensuring all documentation is accurate, and transactions are completed in accordance with company policy and procedure. Coordinate with relevant teams to finalize account statuses and communicate outcomes clearly to members.
Member & Employee Support: Handle member escalation calls received by specialists, applying strong problem-solving and communication skills to quickly address concerns. Evaluate each situation to decide if it can be resolved independently or needs management involvement, ensuring all issues are appropriately escalated for prompt resolution. Coach employees with call escalation and workflow audit reviews.

Camp Counselors must have graduated from high school in 2022 or earlier and have completed 60 college credits by the end of the spring semester 2025, with a 2.5 minimum GPA. RAs must be in good academic, financial, and disciplinary standing with NKU.
Camp Counselors must be able to communicate effectively, and able to give directions and lead students in the event of an emergency. They must possess a valid driver's license in case of emergency driving.
RAs must be comfortable enforcing policy. This includes upholding all policies and procedures as defined by Northern Kentucky University's Community Standards & Student Rights , Housing Policies, Rules & Regulations and any other applicable University policies and procedures.
Camp Counselors must attend all training prior to camp's start and be available for the entire camp.
