My thoughts on the Pros were firing the holiday seasons we received a lot of overtime. It was very fast paced and we were able to get a lot accomplished
In my experience of the cons at Target were within the third week of the new year our hours a would drop between 8 to 12 hours a week.
If we scored our retail sale for that month everyone would get lunch or a gift from management
The manager was very nice but sometimes too nice.
If the truck was late I think the management should had helped push some products so we wouldn’t be double packed in shipping because tha when things would get lost. Organization could be so much better
How I prepared myself for my interview at Target was to as many questions about the department they wanted to start me in. I wasn’t to know inside and out.
In my experience working at Target compared to other companies like them is very fair. I believe they they actually start you out making more than other big retailers in our area
The recommendation of diverse demographic at target is amazing. You have all types of people from every walk of life that works at that company. They do not look at someone because how they look or dressed and won’t hire them because of it. Some of the best workers are “Not Normal”
Personally, the most enjoyable aspect of my job at Target was to help the guest. I love to see people smile, and I would do anything to help our guest to make their experience a little better that day.
Pay
Management, over worked and under paid, unrealistic expectations, HR is a joke, targeting employees who actually work and not doing anything for the people who actually work
Health insurance
Leadership is horrible
Actually, give a crap about your employees
Didn’t have an interview for warehouse
No
Nothing everyone is miserable there management makes it miserable because they’re miserable as well. All they care about is numbers they don’t care about safety like they say if you do the safety and you don’t hate your numbers then you get in trouble if you hit your numbers, but don’t do safety you get in trouble. You can never win. If you do both there’s no way you hit production.
Love the customers and my co workers!!
Team leads lately have been mean and confrontational with regular team members
Getting to know new people from work
nothning!!
listen to the employees concerns
Clearing my mind! Just relax and I went with my very first response.
HAHA, Walmart here is paying $17 an hour after minimum wage went up, target gives 10¢ per hour raises
Unsure
Learning new areas and aspects of the store
Honestly enjoy working here, better than most places.
Expectancy to work multiple positions as one person.
Teamwork, caring environment
Great leadership that listens
Adding more team members and/or giving stores more hours for the team members
$20.24
Great diversity, one of my favorite things
Having fun, not a stupid strict professional expectation. Having fun and conversations with guests are encouraged as part of the job
The pros of working at Target were the people that work there!
The cons are Target is thr management! There is so much pressure on them to make goals, that they threaten your job on a daily basis.
My favorite benefit at Target would have to be short term disability ability.
The team members you interact with are the pros
Management wants you to dedicate your entire life to a company who wouldn’t care if you died working on the sales floor. The pay is horrible. Target is a multibillion dollar company and they will not give their employees no more than $.30 for an evaluation. Target goes by seniority and not knowledge. Target also wants you to have a degree to be considered a team leader.
My favorite perk/benefit are the people I work with.
I have never met the man and leadership does not see the customers as customers anymore. They only see them as a $.
Treat all your employees the same no matter their race, how long they’ve been at the company, and if they have a degree or not. We’re all here to do 1 thing and that’s provide customer service. If you want your freight to be worked hire people to work overnight to work the freight and stop taking positions from the company and putting all the workload of 4 people on 1 person in a department.
Stand on your word. Every person you interview will s not applying just to collect a paycheck. 10% of them are trying to make a career out of working for Target.
-Flexible work schedule, awesome management
Low salary, they expect you to perfect the job in the first 10 days
I liked the co-workers that I worked with, as well as some of the leads that I had.
I didn't like the squeeze from upper level management, that ended up coming down on us.
I would say the Target Team Member discount.
Respectful Work Enviroment, Work/Life Balance, Flexible hours for team members
Lack of growth opportunities, Lack of raise opportunities, Hours cut when not in 4th quarter
On thing that I for sure like about target was there consistent work flow.
One thing that I did not like about target was there somewhat unorganized management due to most of the employees lost or just have no work ethic.
N/A
The work/life balance was great. Coworkers and management were helpful, understanding and pushed me to be my best.
Pay is poor for the amount of work I was expected to do.
The 401k plan is generous and easy to apply for.
It was a great experience for learning customer service skills very team orianted which I loved
Can be a pretty fun work environment if you're lucky enough to work with good people.
Doesn't matter how hard you work, or how good your numbers look, if higher-ups don't like you, you will not move up in the company.
If you're lucky enough to have a good boss, work life balance is actually acknowledged and encouraged.
At my particular location, the team is really strong- almost like a family, so it's a great working environment because we all help each other. But it's not like that in all departments. Also, while the change over is fairly high/fast, there are quite a few people who have been there (or with the company) for many years,
If you're a really strong worker (like I am) you end up doing a lot more work and they are constantly short staffed (both because people quit but more often, they often call out.)
there's not many perks/benefits tbh, the discount is only 10% and you need a Target red card or cash (not regular debit/credit) to use it, so really the only perk is seeing all the new stuff that comes out at Target first (but you have to wait 15 minutes until after it's been on the floor to buy any special, limited time only collections.)
The team work and the friendships I have with my co-workers
I will be honest. Sometimes it’s the guest/costumers some are rude and are just disrespectful but that’s a job for you.
Sometimes when we do well with time management or being calm in a disrespectful situation. We would get rewarded
Emoloyee discount
No work life balance, management doesnt care because your available hours you listed on your application is a binding contract for them to work you those hours
Free snacks and discount stacking
People I work with and it’s a great environment to get management experience
Work/life balance
Benefits
The flexibility and they have great benefits
The Hours & upper management
The Guest and team members
Hours are flexible
Management overworks employees, specific needs aren’t being met for team members. Numerous mistakes in the store are being overlooked by team leads. Not enough help or communication within the store.
I like working there because of the people. I love to help and guide others to what they need and have a great shopping experience.
I do not like the leadership there because there’s no communication and not much growth within the company.
I like working there because of the people. I love to help and guide others to what they need and have a great shopping experience.
I do not like the leadership there because there’s no communication and not much growth within the company.

The aspects of the job, what I was supposed to actually do.
The management system sucks. The top manager makes us do her work.
There is no good benefits
Great Pay
Work Life Balance is poor. Region and District level leadership are corrupt.

Terrible hours and management. No way to work up in the company
Nothing
Benefits, Good Hourly Pay, Good coworkers.

Employee Discount
One thing I really liked was completing tasks and feeling as though I made an impact that day.
I don’t like how hypocritical some of the team leads can be.
I do enjoy the benefit of having a 10% employee discount.
The job itself is very easy, the starting Pay is perfect.
The management team
I live 10 minutes away
The schedule flexibility and understanding.
The lack of a supportive team.
10% discount.
A great relationship with the team
Leadership expects too much out of individuals
Nothing really
The coworkers I had at the job.
The management was belittling.
My favorite perk was 10%of even though it was the only perk.
the team work we have and how we try in every way to make our guests happy.
management has gone down hill.
team member discount
The Management was nice. My boss was also kind.
The short breaks.
The discount was 15%.
Work Life, Environment and the managers
Nothing at the moment enjoyable job
Insurance and Telehealth
I get hours and paid decently.
The management staff is is being flushed out so there are a lot of people above you that should be below you.
They give you fee food during peak hours.
Colleagues , management, students , work life balance , respect
