TASCHEN company history timeline
Founded in 1980 by Benedikt Taschen, TASCHEN started by publishing comic books but later evolved with a series of pocket-sized art books.
Jens Müller was born in Koblenz, Germany, in 1982 and studied graphic design.
In 1999, TASCHEN designers mind-melded over the notion that a company that made small books could make a big, bigger, biggest book.
Julius Wiedemann studied graphic design and marketing and was an art editor for newspapers and design magazines in Tokyo before joining TASCHEN in 2001.
