Job purpose This position will participate in warehouse/shipping operations and activities by maintaining a level of cleanliness or order for safety purposes. Duties and responsibilities Maintains a clean tote sorting area for safety, cleanliness and order. Empties return trucks of pallets of empty totes and racks in an orderly and timely manner. Cleans totes using the tote cleaning machine and sorts by size and / or part #. Stacks like pallets of totes orderly and safely in their designated area. Maintains the production floor's needs for packaging, and removes full packaging of finished goods for stocking in the warehouse Works with the warehouse associates to maintain products in proper locations Has mastered use of the scanning system to perform and record the warehouse duties described above, including production and location records Demonstrates the ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, dock plates and tow motor Maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with others throughout the plant Qualifications Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jack, tow motor, forklift. Responsible for developing the people, processes, and procedures used in our operations as it relates to the injection molding process while working within the standards set forth by IATF, OSHA and ISO 14001, customer specifications and timelines. This position will report to the Operations Manager. Specific duties and responsibilities include: Design, develop and implement processes that ensure the safety of our employees; Responsible for providing direction to the processing, tooling and maintenance group, who develop projects, processes and procedures to improve customer satisfaction, efficiency, profitability and compliance; Responsible for developing layout of facilities, equipment and operations for better utilization of space and labor; Provides cost estimations for equipment, schedules; Reviews drawings and documents new equipment, technical documents, and establishes and implements engineering standards; Has direct input to the annual budget which includes capital, expenses, and prioritizes and analyzes anticipated versus actual expenditures; and Responsible for selecting equipment suppliers, which may require travel. This position supervises an Industrial Engineer. Approximately 10 % domestic travel required. Requires: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering and 2 years of Manufacturing Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, or related experience.
