RESPONSIBILITIES: * Incumbent is responsible for product costing and inventory valuation, as well as supervision of ongoing production reporting and shipping transactions. * Position is responsible for the monthly monitoring and managing of the closing process, and is required to guide the local team in full completion of the closing process, within the required corporate guidelines and utmost accuracy. * Responsible for the integrity of the plant P&L and Balance Sheet through diligent variance analysis, account reconciliation review and approvals and analysis and ongoing transaction monitoring under the controller's supervision. * Heavily involved with plant supply chain and inventory management personnel to ensure that local inventory management processes adhere to the PGW Controller's Manual. Additionally, Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for conducting all elements of the physical inventory process, both annual or cycle counting. * The incumbent is a critical part of the annual budget process, as well as weekly and monthly forecasting. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Fixed and variable absorption, updates recognition and quantification of productivity improvements and projected spending on a detailed account basis. * Similarly, the incumbent is instrumental in the creation of the weekly projection and monthly results dashboard reporting. Working with functional leaders as necessary to explain and comment on major variances * This role will provide ongoing support to the operations team in quantifying the financial impact of operations decisions including cost reduction and investment analysis. * The position will complete ad hoc analyses on an ongoing basis, at the request of the Plant Manager, Plant Controller and Business Unit Finance Group. * Function also provides support for plant Storeroom.
