MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION: • Support and assist the Controller with technical accounting research of complex, unusual and/or significant transactions, provide technical accounting guidance across all functions ensuring compliance with applicable GAAP, and internal controls, and provide findings to management, including participating in discussions with external auditors. • Assist with the assessment and documentation of the accounting impact and required disclosures for major corporate events or transactions, including significant contracts, acquisitions, debt, and equity offerings other one-off transactions. Collaborate with external auditors to drive timely closure of technical accounting matters and support finance teams to ensure proper accounting and disclosure along with documentation of accounting memos as appropriate. • Facilitate the documentation and maintenance of the global accounting policies manual, including communication and implementation of new policies throughout the organization. • Liaise and assist with the coordination of external auditors during quarterly and annual financial audits. • Collaborate with business operators and the FP&A team to understand budget implications and implement planning strategy for accounting issues. • Assist with the identification of accounting and disclosure issues, including benchmarking of disclosure practices and recommendations to management. • Ensure financial statements are in accordance with GAAP. • Remain current through training and other events on applicable technical accounting and internal controls issues. • Support all close and reporting activities as part of the financial reporting team. • As necessary, assist with special projects. • Perform other duties as assigned.
