Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
Prepare daily investment or borrowing position, as well as daily positions for U.S., Canadian, and U.K. portfolios (on a rotational basis) averaging about $40B, which require accurate and timely presentation to portfolio managers and Corporate Treasury department each morning. Cash positions include beginning cash balance, cash transfers, maturities, coupon payments, corporate actions, sales, purchases, paydowns of mortgage- and asset-backed securities and other miscellaneous items. Communicate with various groups throughout the day and provide updates to key stakeholders regarding changes to cash transfers from our client funds activity.
Daily trade settlements with custodian bank - ensure that trades entered into the investment system are fed into the custodian bank system and monitor settlement process throughout the day. Investigate and resolve trade differences as they arise by communicating with brokers and custodian bank.
Initiate wires transfers utilizing the bank online portals and approve and release repetitive wire transfer payments.
Assist with month-end close process including preparation of certain monthly journal entries, investment rollforwards, checking account reconciliations and expense analysis.
Assist with cash reconciliations, including investigating and resolving coupon payment and other differences.
Accounts Payable - input invoices into the accounts payable system on a periodic basis and create a list of checks to be paid on a weekly basis. Monitor the expense trend and ensure adequate liquidity to fund the disbursements.
Prepare custody reconciliations on a monthly basis and research and resolve any discrepancies.
Coordinate investment account opening application with ADP legal and investment counterparties.
Maintain files of board minutes and other broker/legal documentation.
Assist with preparation of annual tax package.
Assist with providing information for internal and external auditors.
Assist with office administration duties as needed
Act as back-up in the duties of other associates, in the event of absence of other team members.
Assist with preparation (serve as back-up) of weekly investment dashboard for ADP senior executives
Update share repurchase database.
Experience. You have 3-5 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in an Investment Account or similar role. Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm will provide extra comfortability.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
You will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. Licensed CPA or working towards license will allow additional comfortability in the role.
Experience with investment accounting systems. Knowledge of the Portia investment accounting system, Bloomberg, Dynamics general ledger, and Hyperion Financial Management systems is desired.

**What you will do**
+ **_Tax Application Review:_** Research and review the sales/use taxability for products and services offered as well as assets purchased by the company and its North American subsidiaries.
+ **_Compliance Reporting (Internal):_** Gather supporting data and complete annual income tax compliance workbooks (Federal TIP and state) plus US fixed assets for our corporate parent.Support preparation of Canadian tax compliance workbooks for corporate parent.

**Who You Are**

Essential Functions:
Manage all day-to-day financial operations of the Club in coordination with the Director of Finance.

Coordinate the production of current year solicitation populations across CIB, CB and CCB globally including account level solicitations including completion of Adhoc analysis to meet regulatory requirements by deadline
Partner with internal data source providers and stakeholders across lines of business to complete investigations and resolve data quality issues with the goal of improving the timeliness and accuracy of the solicitation as well as the response rate from clients on a continual basis
Address and resolve internal or regulatory requests by conducting ad hoc data analysis or generating custom reports as needed
Maintain annual expiry procedure documentation (ex. runbooks) required to help drive control-centric environment
Maintain/Create and own solicitation procedure documents including runbook, Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) documents and external website and help drive control-centric environment
Create and manage citizen development tools to enhance the annual solicitation experience ex. SharePoint Repositories, Alteryx, Mailmaven
Collaborate with cross line of business partners CIB, CB and CCB including sales and service teams and stakeholders to agree on roles and responsibilities, population and contact data, messaging, and process to complete the solicitation effectively
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
5+ years business process or project management experience
College degree or equivalent work experience
Self-starter with out-of-the box problem solving skills able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment
Solid time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and keep numerous tasks on track
High-level research and data mining skills a must

As a Client Tax Associate I within the Client Tax Documentation (CTDO) team, you will be part of a team that processes United States (U.S.) Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax forms and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Common Reporting Standards self-certifications for the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), Commercial Bank (CB), and Consumer and Community Bank (CCB). Job responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement automated solutions to improve data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness using AI solutions such as Alteryx, Tableau and UIPath workflows
Create, improve, and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics
Analyze, review, and validate moderate to complex tax data forms (W9, W8-BEN, W8-BEN-E, W8-IMY, W8-EXP, W8-ECI, CRS & CRA)
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights that can drive operational improvements and compliance
Implement data quality controls and perform regular audits to maintain high standards of data quality
Develop and keep current the readiness documentation to drive the Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform within CTDO. This includes overseeing requirements for CIB, CB and CCB
Accurately analyze data for customer's tax profiles on various client systems including account level systems
Learn and use multiple, complex databases and systems in a relatively short timeframe
Verify that modifications in data are fed to various systems
Perform User Acceptance Testing in systems as needed
