The Premium Tax Manager will be responsible for managing premium tax compliance, reporting, and strategic planning specifically for insurance companies. The role will also provide oversight of surcharge and assessment compliance levied on insurers. Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and filing of state premium tax returns and estimates for various entities
Ensure state mandated assessments and surcharges are remitted to tax authorities in a timely manner while limiting the net tax impact on the business

Participate in special projects as needed.
Ability to work with other departments and collaborate outside of Finance.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of premium tax regulations, accounting principles, and insurance industry standards is essential.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
A minimum of 10 years in accounting and at least 5 years at management positions with progressing responsibilities and demonstrated experience managing insurance accounting operations teams. Prior experience in a publicly traded company preferred.

The base salary range provided below is for hires in those geographic areas only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Job Function
Account for the activities of the Housing Authority in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, HUD regulations, and affordable housing program regulations.
Essential Functions
Responsibilities include accounting for Housing Choice Voucher Programs, Public Housing Program, Affordable Housing Programs, Tax Credit Finance compliance reporting, Capital and Development fund accounting, and Miscellaneous Grant fund accounting.

What You'll Do
Support and lead NetSuite-related projects for multiple clients
Review financial processes and identify areas to streamline
Configure NetSuite based on client requirements
Develop documentation, controls, workflows, and reporting
Build dashboards and custom financial reports
Test system changes and ensure accuracy
Help manage project timelines and deliverables
What We're Looking For
Solid accounting foundation (GL, AP, AR, FA, close)
1-2+ years of NetSuite Financials experience
Strong Excel skills
Ability to improve processes and explain complex ideas clearly
Comfortable working with multiple clients and shifting priorities
Organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative

Description & Requirements As an intern at Forvis Mazars, you will gain valuable experience that may help you decide whether you want to start your career in audit or tax, or even whether public accounting is right for you. You will work on client engagements like those assigned to our entry-level associates, gaining exposure to a variety of industries, and testing out your technical know-how. You will work alongside our senior staff and management personnel, learning from their experience as you develop your skillset.
Depending on local office needs, internships are available in assurance, tax, or a combination of the two and can be part-time or full-time. Generally, winter semester internships run from early-January through April 15th, and summer internships can typically run from early-June through mid-August.
How you will contribute:
* Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
* Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
* Calculate tax extension or estimate payments
* Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers
