About the Role:
We are hiring for a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist. This entry level position is a key part of our Accounting team and reports directly to the CFO.
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for day-to-day financial transactions related to vendors and corporate credit card reconciliations and other company account reconciliations.
The AP Specialist must exercise discretion in executing essential functions and be able to work independently, following through on assignments. Accurate data entry to maintain the integrity of the accounting system, processes expenditures, receipts, and other financial transactions. Ensures financial files are complete, organized, and maintained as needed, and assists accounting personnel through research and clerical duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Review invoices posted by location. Making sure all the information are correct.
Entering Utilities and other invoices on weekly basis
Process Expense Reimbursement
Process weekly check run.
Record/ reconcile EFT Fintech payments.
Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
Research and approve new vendors and create new vendor accounts
Maintain precise records of all vendor payments
Analyze all accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure payment accuracy
Follow up with Vendors and Store Manager for any outstanding invoices or missing payments
Reconcile Some Balance Sheet accounts
Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field or at least 2 years of equivalent experience in Accounts Payable roles.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. Experience with Paycom is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in the restaurant industry is a plus.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for developing and providing accurate information for financial reporting. This position plays a key role in the month-end close process and is responsible for financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and journal entries. The senior accountant will also manage global payroll operations and processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our global workforce along with ensuring compliance. In addition, this position will support the accounting close process with timely documentation and streamlined processes. This individual will work under general supervision on various accounting projects and assist with quarterly and annual financial auditor requests and reporting. Payroll:
Processes all payrolls including semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and equity reporting

Assist and collaborate as needed with team members from Brown Advisory's other alternative investment products (Venture Capital, Hedge Funds, Direct Investments, etc.).

Job Description
Responsibilities:
* Assist the Director, Tax and Compliance as well as outside service providers with the preparation and documentation of all required corporate tax returns including the year-end corporate tax provision, filing of Federal and State tax returns, true-up of provision and final tax returns and preparation of Form 990s.
* Prepare and update tax process narratives detailing the step-by-step preparation of the various tax filings noted above.
* Assist the Director, Tax & Compliance with process improvements to build a more effective and efficient tax function including tax planning as needed.
* Prepare extension calculations and quarterly estimated tax payments.
* Interact with various government tax authorities to help resolve certain tax and compliance or business license related issues as they arise.
* Provide assistance to the Fund Investment Reporting and Management team (FIRM) for the preparation of over 100 Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) tax returns as needed.
* Research new tax guidance and tax questions as they arise and keep the Director, Tax and Compliance abreast with new guidance that may impact Enterprise.
* Maintain fixed assets for GAAP and Tax purposes in workday. This includes reviewing invoices, becoming familiar with our capitalization policy, maintaining WIP schedules, recording depreciation and working with internal personnel to ensure accuracy for our quarterly financial statements and yearly tax returns.
* Maintain Enterprise's Schedule K-1 information from various partnerships, including tax capital and schedules needed for various reporting and calculations.
* Prepare corporate personal property returns.
* Assist legal with information needed for various state registrations, licenses and other non-tax jurisdictional filings.
* Serve as collaborative member of the Enterprise team that challenges status quo and strives for overall process improvements, working with other members of the team and organization, to make recommendations to improve business and communication processes to be more effective for the organization as a whole.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
* CPA or Enrolled Agent certification, or actively working towards obtaining either preferred
* 4+ years of experience in corporate and partnership tax and/or accounting with experience working in either a corporate accounting and/or tax function or public accounting.
* Knowledge of accounting/tax and compliance laws surrounding both for-profit and non-for-profit organizations, including understanding of issues specifically related to partnerships, corporations and related parties.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
