The goal of the relationship is to work through client's sophisticated needs in Tax, Trust, and Estates that among other things that could result in a large amount of savings to the end client. This position will require you to provide detailed, highly sophisticated advice to entrepreneurs and other high-net-worth individuals with sophisticated financial affairs, substantial business interests, large family estates and investment portfolios requiring careful attention.
The Wealth Specialist will be the subject matter authority in all implications of a clients Tax, Trust and Estate needs.

This job requires a strong understanding of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). The Lead Accountant should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the purpose of the journal entries they are recording to the general ledger, evaluate the appropriateness of the entry (including the GL accounts used and the financial statement line item classification), and explain the impact to the financial statements. The Lead Accountant reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for assisting their Accounting Manager with supervision and training of accountants on the assigned functional team. The Lead Accountant will be assigned lower risk areas to review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. The Lead Accountant is expected to function at a high level of accounting knowledge coupled with ability to direct others and give feedback on a daily basis as to work product. Overall performance evaluation is not the direct responsibility of this job; however, the expectation is for the Lead Accountant to provide specific and documented feedback on the work of the accountants to the Accounting Manager to be incorporated into performance evaluations of those Associates.
The Lead Accountant is expected to assist the Accounting Manager in ensuring the team is meeting month-end close deadlines and communicating timely when any deviation from the close schedule is expected. The Lead Accountant should proactively look for ways to make our processes more efficient and maintain or reduce the overall close timeline. Timeliness, accuracy, and the ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines are essential. The Lead Accountant is expected to lead efforts in improving processes for preparation of financial statements and related reports/schedules, ensuring reporting accuracy and building relationships throughout the System that achieve these goals.
For each month-end close, the Lead Accountant will work with the Manager to accumulate and summarize variance analysis results for both the functional area and the Manager's assigned regional responsibilities. The Sr. Sales & Use Tax Accountant reporting to the Indirect Tax Lead, will oversee the daily operations of Sales and Use Tax compliance, property tax, audits and tax projects. The Sr. Sales and Use Tax Accountant will be instrumental in developing and maintaining the department processes and standards while implementing continuous improvements. This position will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Sales and Use Tax Group.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee sales and use tax and property tax returns for all legal entities from compile source data to reviewing filed tax returns. Work with business units, IT, third party consultants to compile accurate data effectively. Ensure data ties to general ledger and payment request from third party preparers.
Perform tax research and provide taxability guidance to stakeholders.
Write desktop procedures to document processes and modify as needed.
Review sales contracts and procurement contracts to identify sales tax issues, and recommend solutions.
Review transactions for applicable Use Tax and post related journal entries
Ensure compliance responsibilities in all states and businesses, evaluate state regulations and acceptable accounting practices, provide service to internal and external customers, and evaluate complete assignments for conformance with applicable policies, regulations and tax laws.
Complete sales and use tax audits. Work with auditors from notice of intent to audit to completion. Modify taxability in tax systems as needed based on findings.
Identify and implement process improvements in the Sales and Use Tax Department.
Ensure financial reports are prepared and paid accurately and timely in order to avoid penalties.
Maintain assigned GL account reconciliations while preventing financial risk to the company.
Assist in various departmental projects, taking a lead role in planning, coordinating and facilitating projects through their completion.

Job Description
These positions (both entry-level and experienced-level) have great job growth potential and require working closely with colleagues in a tax team environment. Responsibilities include:
Preparation of Federal and State Corporate, Partnership, Trust, Estate, and Individual tax returns
Federal tax research
Keeping current on new federal and state tax matters
Coordination with Client Accounting and Assurance department in meeting client needs
Interaction and Communication with clients, both verbally and in writing, client meetings, and responding to client inquiries, Internal Revenue Service, and state tax notices
Planning and Projection Services
Establishment and maintenance of effective working relationships with co-workers and clients
Qualifications
The entry level candidate MUST have:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related area
0-2 years of tax experience in a public accounting setting for entry-level position
3-5 years of tax experience in a public accounting setting for experienced-level position
Excellent Communication Skills
Self-motivation
Strong computer skills
Internal drive to meet deadlines and strong work ethic
Positive and Professional Attitude
