JOB SUMMARY
The Accountant provides accurate, relevant and timely information related to the fiscal operations of the hospital. Responsible for various accounting and financial analysis functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
Prepares monthly standard and other journal entries.
Analyzes general ledger accounts and financial statements.
Assists in the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements to ensure financials are accurately stated per GASB/FASB/GAAP.
Prepares allowance estimates for bad debt and contractual. Analyzes these accounts for accuracy and variances.
Analyzes and reconciles the hospital's monthly accruals and prepaids, working in conjunction with accounts payable.
Assists the hospital's external auditors at fiscal year-end by preparing all requested schedules.
Assists in the coordination of and participates in the collection of all required cost data related to third party reimbursement.
Calculates and analyzes clinic physician bonuses timely. Ensures physician net cash receipts reconcile to physician bonus calculation.
Maintain all aspects of Insights software for budgeting and financial reporting.
Assists PFS with questions regarding reconciling accounts receivable.
Ensures all accounts receivable and cash accounts are reconciled and analyzed monthly.
Actively participates in Strategic Quality Management for the department and organization. Actively participates in Customer/Guest Relations and Mandatory Education programs.
Ensures that expenditures for job related activities are within budgetary constraints.
Follows hospital and department policies and procedures.
Ensures that expenditures for job related activities are within budgetary constraints.
Courteously answers telephones and greets visitors, answers questions in an appropriate manner, uses AIDET at all times.

The Senior Tax Analyst will ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting and financial management for Gilbarco Veeder-Root's (GVR's) North American entities. **Who You Are**

The role of the senior accountant is to oversee all financial transactions which occur in the accounting system and to analyze and verify their accuracy and ensure transactions are entered in a timely manner. This includes journal entries as well as day-to-day transactions occurring inside the company. The Senior Accountant is responsible for review and presentation of the financial Statements to the Director of Accounting.
Essential Job Functions / Certifications:
Create, verify, and post all month end journal entries with accompanying schedules and backup documentation.
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts each month.
Create and maintain a schedule for each account and know the details of the account balances.
Review all financial transactions to ensure accuracy. This would include, but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Work order and Fixed Assets.
Prepare, summarize, and review Financials Statements and present to Director of Accounting for review each month.
Monthly financial reviews with Area Vice Presidents and Directors.
Discover errors and suggest ways to improve processes.
Apply new FASB and GAAP rules to Silver Star's Financials and make sure current financials are in accordance thereof.
Manage and assist with annual audit field work and necessary audit review.
Become an expert with NISC Financials and SIS.
Assist in Tax Return preparation with external firm.
Review of Commissions monthly to ensure accuracy of amounts to be paid out.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Program administrator for company credit cards. Includes adding / deleting employees, training etc
Provide 477 details to the legal department.
Monitor bank accounts and initiate wire transfers.
Cash drawer audits.
In-Depth understanding of GAAP.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles.
Experience with Financials Statements.
Experience with GL functions and month-end and year-end closing processes.
Advanced Skills in Excel including Vlookups and pivot tables.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience working with external auditors.
Outstanding communicator and the ability to work well with other departments.
Time management skills and be able to prioritize work.
Proven analytical skills, work requires continual attention to detail. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field plus 7 years' experience in General Ledger and Accounting; or the combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.
Ability to hold a valid Wyoming or Idaho Driver's License.
