General Summary: Responsible for month-end duties, including journal entries, labor and expense analysis, sales and COGS analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. Perform cost accounting tasks such as analyzing shipments, inventory, material costs, and BOMs. Maintain accurate financial records and process and analyze financial statements and fixed assets.
Essential Job Functions:
Analyze general ledger account activity and prepare month-end journal entries.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
Track capital assets, retirement assets, and calculate and post depreciation.
Research and respond to audit request; gather necessary documentation to substantiate financial records.
Review bills of material (BOMS) and analyze costs of finished goods, including conducting BOM audits with relevant departments.
Review / Analyze shipments to ensure accurate sales and inventory. Will communicate with relevant departments on any issues.
Compile and distribute scrap information. Work with the kaizen team to investigate and reduce loss.
Monitor inventory value report for abnormalities & process adjustments as needed
Assist in the calculation of cost savings for budget and measurement of actual savings.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare internal report of payroll, overtime, etc. for management review.
Assisting with parent company Jsox activity and reporting.
Track spare parts inventory and post usage expenses to the proper accounts to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of work experience in an Accounting role in a manufacturing environment.
Personal/Technical Skills:
Must have knowledge of basic cost accounting, business finance, standard cost and inventory valuation.
Requires an understanding of the interrelationships of cost accounting and data processing.
Strong multitasking and organization skills.
General understanding and working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Strong customer service orientation with both internal and external customers.
Thorough knowledge of company accounting/financial reporting procedures, policies and requirements.

As a
Tax Accountant
you will be responsible for preparing a variety of tax returns, including individual, partnership, S-corp, and C-corp, as well as supporting clients with tax planning, research, and compliance. Job Responsibilities
Prepare individual, partnership, s-corporation and c-corporation tax returns as well as transactional tax compliance work and other problem solving tasks on an ad hoc basis.
Prepare tax return workpapers and adjusting entries on business returns.
Take client provided financials and make necessary adjustments for correct reporting.
Research tax laws and regulations to ensure that clients are compliant with the latest tax laws.
Assist with the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for clients, including tax projections, tax planning, and tax forecasting.
Maintain accurate tax records, including tax filings, receipts, and other documentation. Ensure that all tax records are organized and up to date.
Communicate with clients to gather information necessary for tax return preparation, answer tax-related questions, and provide updates on tax filings.
Participate in training programs to develop your tax knowledge and skills, including internal or external tax seminars, workshops, and other training programs.
Assist with tax-related tasks and special projects as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
2+ years of public accounting experience with a focus in tax, or recent college graduates who display a strong desire to learn and succeed.
CPA is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with AL and GA tax returns.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively as part of a team.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
Ability to communicate with clients effectively and efficiently in a professional manner.
Value working in an office with a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a requirement.

Responsibilities:
Assist clients with tax preparation services during tax season.
Be proactive in learning about tax laws, filing processes, and our internal systems.
Client Outreach: Use your networking and communication skills to bring in new clients and help grow the business.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy with sensitive client information.
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and guiding clients through their tax preparation.

Willing to Learn: No experience? No problem. As long as you're eager to learn, we'll give you the tools to succeed.
