We are looking for an experienced Tax Senior Accounting Professional to manage the day-to-day responsibilities for tax return preparation including client interviews, staff supervision, review, planning, and research for individual and business tax returns. Duties & Responsibilities:
Report to Director of Tax and Estate Planning and Firm Officers
Maintain confidentiality of the firm and firm clients
Maintain a professional appearance and develop effective written an oral communication skills with clients and co-workers
Plan, supervise, and manage multiple individual and business tax return engagements simultaneously
Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm
Develop tax planning ideas and communications to clients
Assist in firm administrative functions as assigned by shareholders
Analyze local, state, and federal tax laws and communicate changes to professional staff
Research tax issues as may arise during planning and preparation of tax returns
Assign tax preparation responsibilities to staff
Qualifications:
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills required
Four-year accounting degree and CPA certification required
2-3 years experience in public accounting and/or taxation
Specific experience in taxation for S-Corps, Partnerships, and Individuals required
Strong research skills are expected
Experience with ProSystems Tax and Engagement helpful

Job Description/Responsibilities
Bio: The Corporate Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial records, accurate and timely filing of assigned and required reporting, reconciling the general ledger accounts, recording all associated entries, and perform account and variance analysis.

Manage month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met and reporting is accurate. Perform account reconciliations, variance analyses, and ensure resolution of reconciling items. Review and analyze expense allocations, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
In collaboration with the Process Improvement Manager, the F&A team and other client groups, develop the skills necessary to identify process improvement opportunities and to be able to improve processes on your own. Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury, and FP&A) to ensure accurate financial reporting. Maintain documentation of accounting procedures.
Use the PDS to identify, manager and improve the skills that are needed to improve performance.
Working with the Process Improvement Manager, the Lead Accountant, the F&A team, and other client groups, identify those processes in the position that rely on paper, identify alternatives to the existing processes and recommend changes to those processes.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies. Support external audits by providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
