Job Purpose: To provide expert tax advice and services to clients, ensuring accurate and timely completion of individual and business tax returns. This role involves direct client communication, planning and advisory services and review of tax returns, and acting as an advocate for clients with tax authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Planning and Compliance:
Maintain knowledge of tax laws and tax planning strategies, especially strategies discussed in Anderon marketing and forums.
Provide consultation services for clients as requested, analyzing client's facts and circumstances to provide guidance and alternatives.
Fulfill on 2-year review, Tax Saver Pro, and other service offerings pertaining to tax planning and consultation.
Participate in and contribute to various advisory resource functions such as the Knowledge Room and respond to client-submitted queries such as Platinum Questions.
Participate in tax resolution and controversy matters as needed.
Contribute on an as-needed basis to assist with the review and signing of tax returns.
Client Communication:
Communicate with clients across the country via telephone, email and video calls regarding tax matters.
Act as an advocate on behalf of clients when communicating with the IRS and other tax authorities.
Team Support:
Contribute to team goals and objectives by providing support and guidance to junior staff.
Build positive relationships with team members and resolve minor conflicts within the team.

Required Qualifications:

EA, CPA, or attorney with tax specialization required.
2-3 years of experience in tax preparation or advisory services at a CPA firm.
2 years of experience preparing individual (1040) federal and state tax returns.
2 years of experience preparing business (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041) tax returns.
Must be able to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
Strong Excel skills including pivot tables.
Experience with tax preparation and planning software including Forms 1120, 1065, 1120S, and 1040. Experience with BNA Tax Planner, Corvee, CCH Axcess or CCH ProSystem fx is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications or coursework related to advanced tax strategies or financial management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Timely processing of sales invoices for all revenue streams including direct sales, parts, lease conversions, recurring fixed/participation lease revenue, monitoring fees and other revenue streams (e.g. royalties)
Manage the company's leased electronic game machine (“EGM”) footprint including EGM additions and removals as well as close communication with Account Executives regarding lease status, fee changes, and other events
Process credit memos and adjustments as needed including seeking / document appropriate approval
Prepare the weekly Accounts Receivable collections forecast by incorporating notes from the A/R Collection Specialist
Support the automation of EGM transactions in NetSuite by completing User Acceptance Testing and collaborating with the Data team
Manage the revenue recognition process in accordance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards (ASC 606)
Prepare the sales commission calculation monthly, seeking review and feedback from the Sales team prior to submission to payroll
Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for areas of responsibility
Prepare timely balance sheet reconciliations
Coordinate and assist the Director of Accounting and Controller in the annual audit process with external auditors
Leverage technology to streamline accounting operations

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
