Vaco Consultants will be responsible for adhering to accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position will need to work to tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end client audit projects, and the support of budget and forecast activities. This internship will support Bandwidth's international tax team by assisting with tax accounting and compliance for corporate income taxes, and other country-specific taxes. The International Tax Intern will collaborate with internal team members and external third-party preparers to help ensure that international tax filings and reports are accurate and completed on time. This position offers hands-on exposure to global tax compliance, transfer pricing, and international operations in a dynamic and fast-paced technology company. What You'll Do: Assist in the preparation and review of corporate income tax returns for the company's foreign operations in coordination with external service providers. Support the collection and organization of financial data and documentation needed for international tax filings, audits, and reconciliations. Help track and process payments of corporate income taxes for assigned foreign entities. Research and summarize responses to basic queries from consultants or tax authorities under the guidance of International Tax Specialist. Assist with maintaining internal tax files, supporting schedules, and reconciliations to ensure an accurate audit trail. Support the international tax team in special projects such as transfer pricing analysis, process improvements, and monitoring tax law changes in assigned countries. Participate in monthly and quarterly tax account reconciliations to ensure proper accounting and documentation. What You Need: Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles and an interest in learning about international tax and compliance. Skills: Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points: Coursework or prior work experience in tax, accounting, or finance. Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems. Curiosity about global business operations and an eagerness to learn international tax concepts.
