PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Position and Performance of the Company
Financial reporting - generate P&L, cash flow and other financial reports from Yardi for individual properties and the portfolio;
Accounting Review and GAAP compliance - ensure all internal and external financial reporting are in conformity with GAAP or in-house standards;
Fair presentation of the value of the investment portfolio - provide semi-annual valuation of the asset portfolio using discounted cash flow models such as Argus;
Assist in-house counsel on legal matters related to the financial operations of the company or individual property; and
Liquidity and Cash Management
Maximize the return on liquidity
Monitor and manage the adequacy of liquidity using loan, line-of-credit and short-term investment as tools
Leverage and Outstanding Debt
Minimize the overall borrowing cost of the company;
Maintain all borrowing relationships with lenders and brokers;
Initiate and manage all loan applications thru closing;
Responsible for Loan Compliance Reporting and Loan document review.
Acquisitions - Dispositions
Participate in the due diligence, underwriting and closing of new acquisitions;
Evaluate and support the decisions on all dispositions and sales of individual assets;
Advise on the optimal balance of the asset portfolio in terms of class, type, location and return
Travel
This position is required to travel between the company's Eastbay and Northbay offices when needed
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CPA role within the commercial real estate industry with proven experience working with lenders, including loan restructuring and loan generation, as well as ability to work with multiple entities in commercial real estate
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required
Certifications:
CPA certification required
Skills:
Proficient in Yardi for financial reporting and management
Advanced knowledge of Argus for acquisitions, refinancing, and portfolio valuation
Strong Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite

We're currently looking for a Tax Associate to become part of our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in preparing tax filings, performing research, and assisting clients with a variety of tax-related projects.
This position is based in our Irvine office and follows a 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. schedule. During peak tax seasons, extended hours (approximately 55-60 hours per week) will be expected.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns (federal, state, and local)
Conduct tax research and support clients with planning and compliance matters
Communicate with clients to collect and verify financial data
Analyze financial information to ensure the accuracy of tax documents
Monitor updates to tax codes and regulations
Assist with responding to tax notices and supporting audit activities
Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding client service
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or expected graduation by December 2025)
Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles
Experience with CCH, Lacerte, or SurePrep software is highly preferred
Working knowledge of general ledger systems

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Preparation of accurate and IRS compliant reporting of brokerage and vendor 1099 forms and tax statements
Independently managing internal inquiries regarding statement production
Maintaining internal project management infrastructure including internal files and other systems
Collaborating with Client Advisors to proactively monitor account profiles
Ensuring proper coding of certain transactions within the trust accounting system
Preparation of reports for data analysis using Excel and internal applications
Managing relevant documents and forms related to retirement accounts
Facilitating and processing tax payments through web portals of various tax authorities
Assisting with special projects and additional tasks when necessary
DESIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience
