We are seeking a talented Project Accountant I to join our team of nearly 500 employees. The Project Accountant I is responsible for supporting project budgets, generating reconciliation reports (budget vs. actuals), researching discrepancies, and invoicing customers utilizing accounting related data and systems. The Project Accountant I works primarily with CCSI's Accounting Department and Project Leads, providing additional support to internal teams and external customers as needed.
In this role, you will
Provide Project Accounting support on assigned projects including: new project set up in CCSI's accounting system, budget review, regular financial reporting and analysis, billing, and follow up as needed.
Provide financial reporting support to Project Leads and/or Project Accounting Manager on a regular basis.
Prepare invoices timely and accurately. Following internal workflows to complete review/approval processes.
Ensure project fiscal reporting and invoicing aligns with contract requirements.
Reconcile deferred revenue balances as they relate to assigned projects.
Monitor outstanding receivables to support cash flow, following up as needed.
Assess needs, resolve problems, or escalate Project Accounting related issues for resolution as appropriate.
Ensure project information is accurate and up to date in CCSI's Accounting related systems.
Assist as requested with audits related to assigned projects (i.e. year-end audit, Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR), the Single Audit for Federal Funds).
Partner with Accounting team on the month-end closing process to confirm appropriate project revenue and expense recognition.
Maintain knowledge of and assists with documentation of accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
Work with organization towards continual improvement of internal accounting operations.
Communicate with both internal and external customers in a professional manner and has the highest standard of customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent education and work experience (see CCSI's equivalency chart).
1 to 3 years of experience in accounting, cost accounting, project accounting experience preferred.
Experience with NetSuite accounting system a plus.

The Senior Staff Accountant will work through the Director of Technical Accounting and External Reporting and works closely with the senior leadership and Investor Relations as applicable.
Compensation: The Salary range for this role is $95,000 - $110,000 annually. This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives. Pay will be determined based on experience level.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparation and coordination of financial filings, including the annual Form 10-K, 401K and pension plan reporting, and quarterly Form 10-Q reporting.
Coordination with external auditors (PricewaterhouseCoopers) in all aspects of their auditing and reporting of external reporting.
Compliance with all aspects of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) internal controls with respect to external reporting requirements.
Assisting with research and analysis and writing related memorandums, as applicable.
Assisting with financial accounting aspects of leasing, general accounting and acquisitions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 4-6 years accounting or related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly desired.
