Assure tax preparer job description

Assure, a private equity transaction platform, analytics, and data company, is seeking to hire seasonal (full/part time/ temporary) Tax Preparers. Assure is the manager of thousands of LLC entities where 30% – 40% require annual tax returns. Each LLC is very similar, set up as an investment holding company usually with very little revenue or expenses. Each LLC has various events that need to be reflected in tax returns, like convertible debt, mergers of investment assets, conversions from debt to equity, liquidations of assets with distributions of cash and/or stock, and more. The Seasonal Tax Preparer will prepare basic federal and state partnership tax returns and adhere to tax return checklist and tracking/documentation requirements for all tax returns, including, but not limited to, tracking time, dates, workflow status, and tax documents. This position requires regular in-person attendance in the office and punctuality to ensure optimal productivity and customer service. Remote opportunities are limited.

Our full time tax team will provide adequate training prior to tax preparation. The paid training will last between two and six weeks based on the experience of each applicant. The expected start date will be towards the end of October or beginning of November and last through April. We can be flexible on the timing and would encourage those interested in working more or less time to apply.
