Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant, Expense Accounting to join our growing team. In this role, you will support the implementation of processes, policies, and procedures ensuring the accuracy of accounting and reporting. You will play a major part in the financial month-end closing and reporting process by managing complex journal entries for the company. You will partner with key business stakeholders and business finance partners to provide accounting guidance for all functional areas and to ensure adherence to applicable guidance, policies, and processes.
As a Senior Accountant, Expense Accounting, your duties and responsibilities will include:
Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation for the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close process with a primary focus on Expense accounting, including network and usage analysis, and dispute process management/resolution, but will support other expense areas as required
Support cross functional teams with systems implementation and testing of financial data to ensure completeness and accuracy
Prepare various balance sheet account reconciliations (heavy emphasis on subledger experience) ensuring proper supporting documentation and identifying and escalating potential issues
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial management reports, including variance analysis on GAAP statements
Analyze and document income statement and balance sheet fluctuations monthly, with an emphasis on prepaid expense management
Liaise with teams across multiple departments and locations to obtain and distribute financial information
Provide support and assessment for external and internal audit activities as necessary, SOX experience preferred
Continuously review tasks and enhance analysis and analytical processes and controls to implement improvements /efficiencies
Ensure effective working relationships with key business partners

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

Certified Public Accountant License preferred.
Ability to perform some daily and overnight travel.

Tax Management & Advisory

Salary Range

Chicago/Philadelphia: $100k-$140k base + annual bonus target
