EDUCATION
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
EXPERIENCE
+ Three years' experience in reconciling payroll taxes to tax payments and maintaining a payroll tax payment calendar

This position is responsible for timely weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax payments and filings. Primary liaison between our 3rd party taxing authorities and client. Responsible for financial analysis of payroll tax system to Workday (WD) and the General Ledger (G/L). Responsible for month end close for assigned accounts. Prepare accurate and timely journal entries, analyze financial statements for reasonableness, explain budget vs. actual variances. Research, analyze and reconcile G/L balance sheet accounts; determine corrective action where required. Coordination of acquisition related tax payments and resolution. Prepare special projects as requested by senior management. Design and enhance existing reports.
Essential Functions:

Responsible for the timely payroll tax payments to Automated Data Processing (ADP).

Responsible for daily monitoring of agency notices, WD and/or ADP issues and other tax related requests and correspondence.

Maintain and reconcile State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) rates in appropriate systems.
·
Maintain current knowledge of payroll tax laws. Ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines and resolve any compliance issues through research and correspondence with taxing authorities.

Provide Monthly/Quarterly/Annual reconciliations and analysis of ADP compared to Workday.
·
Reconcile and analyze general ledger transactions and prepare journal entries for payroll related accounts.
·
Responsible for quarterly multi-state reporting.

Reconciliation of W2/W2c's in all systems.
·
Continually identify process and system improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
·
Coordinate new account coding/mapping in Workday.
·
Ensure accuracy of system integration files.
