Titan America has an opening for a skilled and motivated professional Senior Corporate Financial Accountant, to join our Financial Reporting team located at its Corporate Center in Norfolk, Virginia. This position will engage in the consolidation of companywide results and the reporting and analysis of them for our Group headquarters in Athens, Greece. This salaried exempt position reports to the Director of Financial Consolidation and Reporting. This is an exciting time to join Titan America! Titan America SA (TTAM) completed its initial public offering (IPO) in February of 2025 and is looking to expand its accounting and finance functions. Responsibilities Include: Assist with regular reporting responsibilities to the Parent's finance function and Titan America management, including the preparation and review of: Monthly management reporting package including consolidated financial statements and commentary on the underlying reasons for the company's performance. Quarterly financial reporting consolidation and supplemental schedules. Significant participation in the planning and execution of all phases of the midyear review and year-end external audit process, including technical research, footnote disclosures and audited financial statement preparation in accordance with IFRS. Coordinate with the Titan America's Business Analytics departments and the Group's finance function to ensure consistency of financial reporting, key performance indicators, and financial performance measures. Contribute to the development of solutions of identified inconsistencies and the identification of best practices. Actively engaged in monthly close process for corporate center, including journal entries and account reconciliations, and companywide consolidation. Critically analyze company and product line results and engage with Business Units leadership to gain an understanding of underlying reasons for financial results. Contribute to the development of companywide financial policies and procedures and internal controls. Assist with administration of companywide financial reporting software. Work directly with Executives on Financial Projects and analysis of Financial Results Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or equivalent capability, required. MBA preferred 3-5 years of general accounting experience, required, public accounting experience, preferred. CPA, CMA certification, or equivalent capability, preferred. Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) basis and income tax reporting basis, preferred. Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), required. Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel, required. Data Analysis experience, knowledge of SAP and Hyperion, a plus. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work under time constraints with a large and diverse group of internal customers. Duties & Tasks * Analyze monthly portfolio detail and research significant accounting matters. * Review staff accountants' work and comment on completeness and accuracy. * Possess detailed understanding of most C&D transactions, systems and related industry terms. * Review agreements and contracts to ensure compliance in reporting and payment obligations. * Prepare and review wires and ACH payments. * Act as a liaison to Internal and External Audit in relation to C&D matters. * Effectively use Unifier and Workday to prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, transactions, and account activity. * Investigate and resolve outstanding items within the C&D portfolio. * Assist in the training of staff accountants and develop strength as a coach/mentor. * Participate in the evaluation, development and documentation of accounting procedures, policies and controls. * Additional duties and projects as assigned by management. Minimum Job Requirements * Undergraduate Degree in Accounting from an accredited business school. * CPA designation is desired. * 3 years accounting experience in monthly financial statement preparation and review is desired. * Real Estate background desired. * Possess a strong customer service focus. * Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word. * Superior time management and organizational skills. * Ability to effectively train staff accountants. * Ability to work under pressure. * Ability to work well with accounting team, construction and development management team, and other departments, including upper management. * Possess strong analytical skills. * Strong sense of teamwork and work ethic demonstrated. * Willing to work on a flexible schedule (some overtime required). Our shipyard is conveniently located in the Mid-Atlantic region at the port of Hampton Roads, Norfolk Virginia. JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our team. The Cost Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, as well as providing valuable insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting principles and be knowledgeable about standard costing methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Calculate monthly revenue and prepare various financial project result reports. Assist in the review of monthly project EACs; provide support as needed to project managers in the preparation of EACs. Prepare month-end journal entries, account reconciliations and other analysis. Assist in the periodic update of financial forecasts, including project revenue, gross margin, and indirect expenses. Understand and explain variances between actual and forecasted indirect rates. Ensure indirect rates are compliant with FAR and CAS. Perform applicable research and discuss with management to ensure alignment. Provide support to the Contracts department; assist with cost reporting and related requirements. Support the development and improvement of cost accounting systems and processes. Prepare and/or oversee the timely preparation of all contractual invoices, which may include fixed price, cost type, or time and material billings. Continuously monitor open accounts receivable. Understand issues behind late accounts receivable and work with appropriate internal and external counterparts to resolve timely. Support preparation of cash-flow forecasts. Prepare annual incurred cost submission to DCAA. Serve as primary support for DCAA audits. Provide support during internal and external audits. Drive continuous process improvements and participate in other ad-hoc projects as needed to support the business.
