Position Summary:
The Tax Pillar oversees tax compliance for the clients of the family office, which includes investment and business entities as well as non-profits, individual and trust returns. The Tax Pillar also plays a key role working with other Pillars at the DFO on planning and implementing new strategies and structures for our clients. As an Intern you will assist with administrative tasks and ad hoc project work related to tax compliance at the Family office.
Day-to-day responsibilities would include a combination of the following:
Learn about Monday.com - assist with creation and maintenance of project management boards related to tax compliance workstreams.
Machine Documentation - assist with documenting various processes for pillar use and reference.
Confluence Page - assist with updating and maintaining the Tax Compliance Confluence Page.
Update and maintain a variety of internal tax trackers (estimated tax payments, notices, refunds, signature list).
Ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

Support the Fiduciary/Trust Tax Services practice with the preparation and delivery of tax information statements, tax returns and related reporting for agency, custody and fiduciary accounts for tax compliance engagements with banks, wealth management firms, trust companies and law firms. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have 1 year of experience preparing income tax returns with complex pass-through investments including family limited partnerships, publicly traded partnerships and hedge funds.
Must have 1 year of experience in review and correcting account and transaction data bridged from client accounting systems to company systems.
Must have 1 year of experience with trust tax software applications, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel; and at least one of the following: 1) ONESOURCE Trust Tax, 2) GoSystem, or 3) Wall Street Concepts.
Must have 1 year of experience liaising with clients with respect to U.S. taxation.
