TC Industries company history timeline

1881

In 1881, William D. Gates purchased the Spring Valley Tile Works in Crystal Lake, IL and changed the name to Terra Cotta Works.

1934

In 1934, the American Terra Cotta and Ceramic Co. was purchased by George A. Berry.

1935

In 1935, George A. Berry, Jr., purchased this firm and reorganized it as the American Terra Cotta Corporation.

1955

The Mill Products Division was created in 1955.

1966

The manufacture of terra cotta was discontinued in 1966.

2021
