Assist in implementing the daily program under the supervision of the Lead Teacher in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the school.
Assist in planning and preparing the necessary materials and supplies for the indoor-outdoor space.
Supervise center activities under the direction of a Lead Teacher.
Assist Lead Teacher with children's needs such as diaper changes, toileting, changing clothes.
Assist with classroom activities and projects, to include setting up and clean up.
Monitor and supervise children during playtime and assist with facilitating appropriate playtime activities.
Consider individual children in relationship to their cultural and socio-economic background and treat children with dignity and respect.
Help children become aware of their role as integral members of a group.
Assist in planned intergenerational activities, focusing on building relationships across the ages.
Assist in snack preparation and serving.
Assist the children during all mealtimes. Provide the best possible environment with the health and nutritional status of each child, promoting the development of good eating habits.
Assist the Lead Teacher in the ongoing assessment procedures needed to assess the developmental levels of the children.
Attend staff meetings and participate in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth.
Assist the Director, Lead Teachers, and Assistant Director in parent-staff activities.
Assist in community events sponsored by the school.

Skills and Abilities
High School Diploma or GED
Past experience working with children preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age.
CPR, First Aid or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire, Fingerprint Clearance card required.
