Make sure all shifts of staff entering the room are aware of daily happenings going on in the room. Create a class routine/schedule for children to follow. Provide at least 10 minutes of outdoor time to all children daily. Set examples for appropriate course of discipline. Complete daily report board about individual child's activities for parents. Responsibilities Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that sparks curiosity and supports children's exploration and discovery. Support the classroom and lead teacher to implement fun, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves. Facilitate stimulating activities, including arts and crafts, music and movement, storytelling, and outdoor play, to promote holistic development, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and materials Maintain accurate records and follow regulations and company policies. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive and enriching educational experience. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff. Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians through open and respectful communication, parent-teacher conferences, and involvement in school events. Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations and implementing appropriate procedures. Qualifications A high-school diploma (or equivalent) - OR 1-year of experience working with children under the age of 13. Previous childcare center experience or in a similar setting is highly desirable Passion for early childhood education and a genuine interest in fostering the development of children. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and fellow educators. Creativity and a KIND disposition. The ability to support a classroom schedule to ensure a well-structured and engaging classroom environment. Patience, empathy, and the ability to establish positive and nurturing relationships with children and their families.
