o Or one year (1560 hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six.
• Submit a current (within past 6 months) physical examination.
• Obtain a tuberculosis test by the Mantoux method.
• Submit to fingerprinting and pass background check before hire.
• Obtain and maintain current CPR and first aid certification.
• Complete and pass the food handlers training.
• Continues professional development by attending training webinars, workshops and/or conferences to obtain 15 training hours a calendar year.

Full-time Description
We are currently looking for a Lead Teacher at our Janesville location. This position is Full Time/Part Year 40 hours per week $20.28- 22.04 per hour.
The Lead Teacher develops, plans, and implements a series of educational experiences appropriate to the growth and development of each of the three to five year-old children assigned to his/her care in a classroom setting, working toward the overall goal to promote school readiness and social competency. The parent will be considered the primary teacher and family engagement will be promoted in order to increase school readiness. Working collaboratively with program staff and community representatives to meet individual child and family needs, the Lead Teacher integrates the educational aspects of all Head Start service areas into the child's daily program.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Developing a lesson plan following Creative Curriculum.
Conduct and document screenings as assigned.
Maintaining complete records on each child's educational progress.
Work collaboratively with agency staff as well as community partners.
Assist and participate in planning, set up, conducting and clean up of Family Nights.
Provide bus monitor services as determined by classroom need, including but not limited to: providing supervision of children during the bus ride, child boarding and exiting, securing children in appropriate safety restraint systems, oversight of child pick up and release, responding to emergencies, assist with conducting/participating in monthly bus evacuation drills.
Maintain work schedule and is punctual, accountable and willing to adapt schedule to meet unexpected needs and changes of the agency.

Wingra School seeks a Wellness Teacher who brings out the best in students by developing engaging, relevant, and adaptable curriculum that is informed by an understanding of child development and the learning process and integrated with other areas of study. Work with multi-age groups of primary students (ages 5-7), intermediate students (ages 7-9 and 9-11) and adolescents (ages 11-14). Strong skills in verbal, written and interpersonal communication and the ability to collaborate with colleagues essential. Taught in a progressive, integrated, and responsive manner, Wellness is an essential component of each child's education at Wingra. The Wellness curriculum balances movement, health, fitness, teamwork, time in nature, guided play through sports and cooperative games, and emotional literacy. Outdoor learning and exploring are major components of our Wellness program. Activities and experiences are created based on the students' developmental needs, interests, the seasons, and the themes of the integrated units of study.

Advance student potential-and your own-as you collaborate with the teacher to work with small groups of students in delivering individualized services and support.
