Uncommon Middle School Math teachers work in grade level teams to help students grow towards being self-guided learners. At the heart of all math classes is a deep joy for mathematics, and our teachers work hard to refine their own mastery of the subject. What you'll do:
* Provide in school support to assigned student with special needs.
* Maintain positive relationships with teachers and other staff.
* Consult with and assist the Behavioral Specialist Consultant (BSC) in the development and implementation of treatment plans.
* Timely submission of daily student summaries and clinical documentation, including PCA interventions, observation of behaviors displayed, etc.
* Ability to interact effectively by speaking clearly, using age- appropriate language, and maintaining attention through verbal and non- verbal communication.
* Able to perform activities such as reaching, grasping, walking, briskly, or running, sitting on the floor, kneeling, crouching ascending and descending stairs throughout the day.
What We Require:
* High School diploma or GED equivalent.
* Must be able to obtain necessary clearances and complete CPR/First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) trainings.
* Ability to pass background check and FBI fingerprinting.
* Must be able to work with "high-risk" consumers who have mental illnesses as well as developmental and physical disabilities.
