Definition: Under the general supervision of the ELD Coordinator, performs work of moderate difficulty providing content area support to English Language Learners. Assists ELD classroom teacher with instructional support; maintains files at school sites; trains for and administers Arizona's English Language Learner Assessment (AZELLA).

Tasks:
* Provide content area support to students whose primary language is not English
* Responsible for administering the AZELLA at all school sites
* Assist the ELD teacher in preparing instructional materials and other paperwork
* Maintain qualified scorer status for AZELLA Stages I-V writing through Pearson online training and qualification process.
* Score written assessments and submit data to Pearson electronically.
* Update testing information in databases and spreadsheets.
* Maintain filing systems at school sites. Copy and distribute documents.
* Establish and maintain positive, flexible, and collaborative relationships with teachers, parents, and other staff members at school sites to meet the instructional needs of students.

Effective written and spoken communication skills (i.e., the ability to relate well with children, school staff, and parents) are a necessity.
Special Requirements:
Valid Arizona Driver's license and clear driving record.
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Level I - IVPP Fingerprint Clearance card through Arizona Department of Public Safety.
CPR certificate and First Aid certificate are required within one (1) year of hire.
