Implement effective classroom management strategies, maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment conducive to student success.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units, share best practices, and align teaching strategies across grade levels and subject areas.
Regularly communicate with students, parents, and guardians regarding student progress, academic expectations, and opportunities for enrichment or intervention.
Stay updated on developments in the fields of history and political science education, including new teaching methods, educational technologies, and relevant research.
Participate in professional development opportunities, teacher meetings, and school activities.
Fulfill other duties and responsibilities assigned by the school administration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, Education, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
Valid teaching certificate/license in secondary History or Political Science (or equivalent).
At least two years of teaching experience at the high school level within the past two years, demonstrating effectiveness in teaching history and political science.
Familiarity with various teaching strategies, assessment techniques, and educational technologies to support student learning and engagement.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, parents, and other stakeholders.
